Can't say fairer than that, fingers crossed they can rearrange the show for next year.
Im happy enough to wait till then. Hopefully the rescheduled tour starts after june 15th as Ive already booked my holidays for next year.
I hope after June 19th because that’s the date of the rescheduled Frames show. Hopefully Ed wouldn’t want to interfere with Glen, knowing some of us love both :)
Hopefully you will get both shows.

I hope so, too. It would have worked perfectly this year: Dublin on June 20, Frankfurt two days later :)

So today is the day that we find out whether the band will return in 2021 to Hyde Park according to the last email from the promoters. It hopefully makes sense they will seeing as they’re in Europe for the rest of the dates but everything seems so uncertain at the moment.

There was a post on the Euro cancellation thread that suggested that AXS are already refunding everyone's money because they cannot confirm PJ for next year. So it doesn't sound like itll be good news I'm afraid.

Has anyone received an email from AXS? I’ve seen a lot on Twitter from people asking about refunds and their standard response was to DM them. They’re being very evasive!

No email as yet. I guess they must still be trying to rearrange
If hope could grow from dirt like me, it can be done.......

TBH I'm happy for them to keep my money until they can definitively announce that PJ are or aren't playing next year. Would be annoying to get a refund and then a few weeks/months later it's announced that they are going to be playing BST again after all. If anything, I think the delay could be a positive sign - it possibly indicates that discussions are still ongoing. If it was a hard 'no' then I'm sure we would all have refunds by now.

Does this mean the rest of the Pearl Jam EU tour is in danger as well?

I think it‘s worrying that they announce June / July but give no update so far.

    Hello,

Following on from our email to you on Wednesday 29 April, we are contacting you again with an update from the organisers of BST Hyde Park 2020.

"The challenges caused by COVID-19 continue to affect the global event industry. After regular consultations with the artist community and The Royal Parks regarding the ongoing crisis, we will continue to monitor the situation before announcing our 2021 programme of artists. As a result, we believe that the best course of action is to automatically refund all ticket holders whilst this process continues. No further action is needed from your side.

Whilst we continue our discussions with the artists, we want to reassure fans that you will not miss out and if your 2020 headliner confirms for the 2021 event, you will be given priority access before the general on sale to repurchase your tickets for that show. Full details will be released upon artist announcement.

You are very much at the core of our 2021 event planning and we would love to hear your thoughts, so if you could please spare us no more than 3 minutes by filling in this survey, we in turn will do everything we can to make BST Hyde Park 2021 the best one yet.

We are hugely looking forward to sharing our 2021 plans with you all and returning to Hyde Park for another incredible summer series."

Following this statement and in line with our standard policy, AXS aim to refund the payment method used for purchase within 14 business days. (During these unprecedented times our customer service department are very busy – on occasion, it may take longer for funds to credit your account).

We look forward to updating you as soon as 2021 plans are ready, and seeing you all again soon.

    Team AXS

This is the email, at least we will get our Ten Club section tickets as priority IF they somehow do play next year...but I’m not that sure they will now

Just had the email, refunds are being given.

Does mention that IF PJ play BST 2021 then previous ticket holders will be given "priority"
    Doesnt mention 10 Club etc.

Well the email mentions that they're still in discussions and that if the band do rebook that those who had tickets will get priority access, so there is some hope that PJ will return. But I must admit, I'm starting to wonder if the delay in announcing the 2021 dates is because they're reassessing their plans. Maybe it would be better for all concerned to rule out touring until 2022, rather than running the risk of having to reschedule a second time. The US dates were announced/cancelled before the Euro dates and there has been zip about the rescheduling of those dates....

I think they will wait till later in the year to decide when there is a better handle on the likelihood of 2021 tour being able to go ahead fully

I wonder whats going on here behind the scenes. Why was Lolla able to re-book both Paris and Stockholm and Hyde Park is not able to solidify them for next year?

My theory is band management was unhappy that BST announced 2020 cancellation before the band was ready to make or at least announce its 2020 Euro postponement and as a result they no longer want to do business with this festival.  This is 100% speculation.

A definite possibility. But then I wonder if AXS would have just said PJ won't be returning in that case, rather than stringing everyone along for the last few weeks.

Alternatively, if the team were indeed annoyed by the announcement, they might be insisting that AXS can't confirm that PJ will be returning until the band unveil the rest of the tour.

Gah, who knows. At this point I'm amazed that bands are still announcing tours at all for ANY date. One of my favourite bands Bo Ningen announced yesterday that they're doing a tour in the UK in Nov this year... I couldn't believe it. Seems wildly optimistic to me. But I suppose life has to go on.

I would consider any 2020 dates optimistic as well.  However, the Oxford folks may have a vaccine by September, so maybe there’s a chance.  Anyway I’d rather see plans get made and adjusted later if needed, as opposed to everything being at a total standstill.  Just hold off on non-refundable travel plans.
