This past week, I've listened to it everyday... It's my second favorite off of Yield....First of course...DO THE EVOLUTION... I need to find a way to inject Pearl Jam straight into my veins.






Now, before I slumber....., I must go listen to Yield, now that I have gotten myself all pumped up.

YES!! Good call Cropduster49. I was actually just thinking the other day if a thread for this one doesn't exist already it SHOULD! I usually just go off about it in the YIELD thread ...but it definitely deserves one of it's very own .

I must come show my complete head over heels love and praise for this incredible song. LOOOOOOOVE IT!!! One of the greatest songs out there if you ask me!! This, IN HIDING and LOW LIGHT definitely own a major part of me... I don't wanna choose in what order, that shits too hard. haha. I will say this though, FAITHFULL remains one of my most listened to PJ songs ever and is always at the top of any long ass list in my mind. This song is absolutely amazing!!! Beyond uplifting!! I can't even begin describe the happiness this one gives me...but it's so, SO much! Getting this at MSG was just one of the many reasons that will forever be one of the greatest nights of my life.

I can't get enough of it either Cropduster49 and do find myself in repeat mode quite often, FAITHFULL (like YIELD itself) is a feeling I always crave. A complete boost of life & happy!! From this kick ass intro (that guitar?! ), to this funked out super rockin bass line sliding and bending all over the place!!, to Ed's gentle/fierce gorgeous voice (looove the "wooos"), the gentle but powerful drumbeat in the beginning and the way it all just builds and builds and then explodes during the middle. Mmmm mmmm mmm!! The middle break down in this song is fuckin HEAVEN! So many amazing sounds/feelings going on here. Gives me non-stop chills! Overall the entire song just builds like that, when it first kicks in the SUPER goodness after "i'm through with screaming"!!!! Damn! That chorus is brilliant!! How can you not scream at the top of your lungs, screams of pure joy and ecstasy ....slowly eases you in then just rocks you, forces you to sway, bounce, sing, SMILE! There's just something sooooooo untouchably special about this song. I can't praise it enough. It definitely makes me "BELIEVE".

i've been absurdly obsessed with faithfull myself lately....it sure is an oddly structured song.... verse-chorus-jam-chorus-verse....i agree the live feel is what makes it over the top great.

yeah, i'm kinda partial to this song. i like it just a little bit. it was the song that i kept going back to when i first picked up yield, and i still keep going back. i think i will go listen right now!

maybe i will get to hear it live one day... :-(
