Why is it all the “positive” people come off as the angriest.
    Irony....  great observation

Is anyone hearing DotC while reading this thread?

If you’re disappointed in the album, they told us in the first single to:
    save your predictions
    burn your assumptions
expecting perfection leaves a lot to ignore/endure

and for those irked by others disappointment:
not one man can be greater than the sum...

and to those irked by the irked:
    that’s not a negative thought... I’m positive!

And to the back and forth:
Could’ve held me up; rather tear me down
we’re stuck in our boxes, windows open no more

    but I guess:
the boys just want to grow their dix, and fix, and fire things

I love this album, but not because it is what I think it should have been, but rather as a representation of the knowledge and experience of 5 deep and critically thinking humans who thoughtfully observe, wonder, and contemplate the world around them. Any creation of that kind of collective wisdom, for me, can only be admired and celebrated.
    Totally cool!

I think some people are glass half empty and some are glass half full. Some people just like to complain and see the negative such as the OP. They can’t get upset if we are reacting to their post as this is what they wanted. They started a new thread to complain when they could have posted in the review thread that was already started. They wanted a reaction. The album is great and couldn’t be happier but some people are never satisfied and will never be happy with anything. They just like to complain. I’m sure it’s not just this album but probably a majority of things in their lives that they complain about. I call them Debbie Downers. That’s my opinion.
The OP really bothers you.   It's so strange.
Haha. Just posting my opinion Becky.

It's ok if I am lost because I see other are as well, but they are going the wrong way.

    Why are people debating "reviews".

You do now that Blade Runner got some really bad reviews back in 1982... right?
Because how else are you supposed to decide whether you like something?
You copy whatever the cute girl in class thinks.

AND THAT IS HOW I ENDED UP LISTENING TO LINKIN PARK THAT DREADFUL YEAR OF 2001.
But did it get you anywhere with the cute girl?
You bet. Even went with me to the London 2007 show.

But then I fucked it all up.

And now I am not listening to Linkin Park anymore.
... until the next cute girl.

How cute would one need to be to get you into Nickleback?

Im sorry but is it not acceptable to voice our individual opinions here?

You should know better...you can't have an individual opinion around here without the "opinion police" getting up your ass about it going against "their opinion".  God forbid someone dislike some music that someone else likes...lol.

Nickelback sells more albums than Pearl Jam...but then Nickelback is the "go to" insult among the people...there's apparently a lot more people in the world that like Nickelback than Pearl Jam.  But really, who fucking cares?  The "opinion police" do...

Let The Records play was probably my favorite piece of music on Lightning Bolt.
Ed fucked it up by singing the chorus to the tune of "Jeepers Creepers." That's not Stone's fault.

I don't hate Buckle Up. It's fine. It's probably my least favorite song on the album at this point, but I still listen to it.
    These are very fair points.

I said the same thing after a listen or two... Now I’m in love with it.
It’s like my No Code... The first few listens... I was disappointed... Then it turned out to be on of my favorite albums.
