you people are losing sight of the goal here.

the goal is to defeat trump. this infighting and division is what team trump and the russians want, because the only way they win is if democrats get butthurt about the nominee and do not turn out to vote.

if biden is the nominee, and you bernie supporters refuse to turn out, then fuck you, just go vote for trump, because a non vote for a democrat is a tacit vote for trump.

if bernie is the nominee, and you biden supporters refuse to vote for bernie, then fuck you too and go vote for trump.

i've had it with this campaign and i have had it with the infighting on our side.

a 2 year campaign for a 4-8 year job is fucking ridiculous and all it does is damage our side.

you all keep fighting like this, and i promise you trump will win again.
I’m on record stating unequivocally that I’ll vote for Bernie if he’s the nominee. Hell, I’d vote for a rock. Can the Berniebrosises say the same? Not that I can tell. So much for being a “democrat.”

i am the same way. i voted for bernie in the primary in 2016 and 2020. i am of no delusion that he is going to be the nominee. i am all in on vote blue no matter who because it beats the alternative of trump winning again which will possibly set up a dynasty of trump children running for president afterward.

    Beating Trump in the fall
If Biden is such a great candidate why is everyone so afraid of Bernie?  If Biden needs the progressive votes and the young votes, why doesn’t he do more to sway our opinions that he is a candidate that can unite the party?  If Biden is the presumed nominee isn’t it his job to bring progressive voters to him?

This whole crap on Bernie thing just reeks of looking to scapegoat the failings of the Democratic Party and Biden.  It is convenient because neither the Democratic Party nor Biden will have to look inside and say, what can I do to improve? If Biden does lose to Trump everyone can keep playing the blame Bernie game, and then in 4 more years when they run another milquetoast candidate they will find another person to blame.  If Biden is so great of a leader surely he has nothing to fear from Bernie staying in the race a little longer to leverage his position to bring more progressive goals to the party platform.  Isn’t the whole point of this competition to bring the strongest face of the party?  If Biden’s campaign can’t handle Bernie lingering a little longer they have no hope against Trump and the GOP.

If you don’t think Trump is going to miraculously come out of this corona virus thing way ahead of the ball you haven’t paid attention to how he has defied all odds since 2016. But yeah it is way easier to blame Bernie and his supporters.  So keep taking the easy way and blaming Bernie instead of looking at the DNCs short falls and doing something positive to promote .   Or deflect seems a lot of people are good at that around here.

It seems that Biden and Bernie camps have been talking so maybe they will figure it out so we can all stop arguing.
Biden/Warren would be a ticket I could believe in.

^^Because he’s not a great candidate (anymore, I think he would have won easily in 2016). He’s just better than Trump. I know...pretty low bar.

I'm not afraid of Bernie at all. I'm disgusted by the smear campaign to turn Joe Biden into a sexual predator because he kicked Bernie's ass.

What part of “not winning primaries and delegates” do you not understand? It’s not that Bernie is in the race, it’s that he’s doing worse this time around with his own “core” constituency and Biden is winning. What do you want the DNC to do? Overrule dem primary voters?

One thing I’ll be grateful for after November is that Bernie will be finished, done, relegated to the footnotes of political history. He can finish out his senate career and retire to the Green Mountain State.

I believe in any dem ticket. Even if it’s a rock.

I’ve said from the beginning I am going to vote for the nominee who is presumably Biden.  I could give a shit if Bernie has a path to victory or not.  I think it would be horrible to overrule voters and force bernie on anyone that didn’t vote for him. I also think it would be horrible to not let voters that haven’t had their chance make their voice count, even if Bernie only were to get 25% of what’s left, that tells the DNC that there are a hell of a lot of people that support the platform Bernie is running on. Some people still believe in voting their conscience. But yeah we should just tell them they don’t get a chance ‘cause trump. If you don’t think the race wouldn’t have turned out different if Nobody had dropped out on the eve of Super Tuesday you are delusional.  I get it Biden is going to be the nominee. Big deal.  If the nominee can’t handle Bernie staying in for a few more weeks how is he supposed to handle Trump?

If Bernie were smart, he'd make a deal with Biden to drop out, offer full voiced support for his candidacy in exchange for some Bernie inspired platforms and campaign promises. But its not going to be free college and M4A as those are being rejected at the polls. But Bernie's not smart, he's an ego maniac, hell bent on bringing down the party he's not a member of. Just like Team Trump Treason isn't a repub and has destroyed that party and turned into a white nationalist party. Except Bernie wants the dems to be a "socialist" party. Hell, one supporter on this very forum wants to suspend due process and thinks an allegation is enough for someone to be ruined. Welcome to the Collective? No, thank you.

And you know that these talks aren’t in progress how?  Didn’t Joe Biden himself say that the two campaigns were currently in talks? It would be foolish for Bernie to drop out before he can get everything he can as far as his platform out of it.  It would also be foolish for Biden to think that he can get every vote by just leaving Bernie in the dust.  What scenario brings the Bernie voter that might stay home or vote Trump to watch it all burn down to the table? The one where you shit all over the voters number one choice and say fall in line cause Trump, or the one where you actually reach a negotiation with the other major candidate and he then tells said supporters we ran a strong campaign and were able to accomplish some amazing things and bring our ideas to the table, now go out there and Vote for Biden and let’s get Trump out of office?   So is it the one where you shit all over the hard core supporters number 1 choice? Of course it isn’t. But continue shaming and shitting on people and see how that carries out the great victory over Trump.  Contrary to popular belief most Bernie supporters aren’t Bernie bro’s pushing sexual assault narratives.  Is there truth to those allegations? Who knows. Could it be a smear job? Maybe. I agree that it should go through the legal system and not the court of Media and public opinion.

You're fine with Socialism for so many things in our society,, so many things  improved when we think about the whole instead of the few .......but Healthcare and Education? NO WAY!!!! HOW WILL WE PAY FOR IT?  As we show we have plenty for another corporate bailout... ... screw the people.. you might get a $1200 check in a few months..  BUY CAKE!!!!
