Not trashing Klausen, just not for me more often than not. Trying to figure out what is going on in most of his pieces reminds me of those 90s optical illusion posters where you stare at a point then slowly move back for everything to come into focus. Before you know it you are cross eyed and just give up.F Me In The Brain said:JW269453 said:
I'd rather have a wolfmanpig type of poster than most of Klausen's efforts. I don't know what it is, but looking at his art makes me dizzy. Too busy for my liking and I'm sure me putting this out into the universe just commissioned Klausen for OKC & Denver.droptheleash9 said:
That is an all time FUGLY poster. I mean I know it's a hard job being an artist but I just to believe the artist of that worlfmanpig thing finished and said "oh yeah this thing is awesome!" Talk about punting on a poster.F Me In The Brain said:EV4PREZ said:I hang all the shows I go to and don't collect any others. So... I would like I nice piece of Artwork.
I still have my Vancouver 11 in the tube. I don't even respect it enough to put it in the portfolio. Went to the show so I hold on to it, but at some point I need to do something with it -- and hanging it will not be an option.Did you just say you like wolfmanpig better than the genius work of Brad Klausen?
Seriously, though.

Like the one this dummy was staring at in Mallrats?(It's not a schooner it's a sailboat!)
BTW, not for nothing, but that could have been me on the left when that was filmed. I swear I had that same clothing.Looked like a dumbass with that shit tied around my waste. (Waist? Stefan?!)At least I didn't dress like the other two.The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -
Ha, exactly! Much better than the sweater around the neck 80s look though, that was just inexcusable.

Well they are headed back to the scene of this memorable addition to the Hall of Posters (Pearl Jam Wing).
As I envision it....they will continue with the theme and make a six eyed native american and an eight eyed brothel worker...a full western theme for Oakland.....0 -
Double Eyes NEVER works, not even if Da Vinci made it

Odd to me....there are some stunning posters. Some ones that I would not want to hang, ever.

Not sure. Up to you, I guess.
I find no hyperbole in the way that art can move me.
Also, pretty sure most don't criticize others finding beauty in things.
Again, up to you how you want to read.
Crushed over not getting a concert tickets vs. taken aback/amazed by a beautiful artistic image. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

I frequently see people refer to posters as “stunning” on here and it struck me as similar to the frequent use of gutted to describe missing out on tickets.F Me In The Brain said:

You’re clearly having a bad day based on the name calling here and harassment in the other threads. We all get to have an opinion here. No need to act like that.F Me In The Brain said:

So it's just fine to make shitty comments if you say "no criticism"?
