Yup. Iceland at the end of August 2019 on the last night of our trip.
Nice way to end a trip!
I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
Animals were hiding behind the Coral
    Except for little Turtle
I could swear he's trying to talk to me

I'd rather see the glaciers at the poles. On my European cruise last August, I met a lady who was photographed in the Antartic kayaking when a whale jumped out behind her and the tail was caught in her photo.

That sounds nice. You must have quite a few photos then. Any First Nation stories/beliefs you came by up there?

If you live in the north, this is the site for predicting when the aurora will be good and when it's worth going out to look for. Consider anything above the "4" scale to be excellent, rarely does it hit a 6 even unless there is very high solar activity.

Wild cold september night in Alaska. No crazy colors but cool white clouds grooving around the sky.

Missed them another time. People were in awe making lots of noise outside hotel room. I had no clue why!

I would like to see the Northern Lights one day but odds of that happening are pretty slim for me.

That's a nice thing to go out of your way to go, RB. Makes me feel warm and snuggly thinking about that.
