Unfortunately, TM/LN decided they were gonna send me some 1099s anyway, even though I was below the threshold. So now I have to claim nearly $10k in transactions on my taxes. Probably won't owe much, since it was mostly F2F. But it's still a pain in the ass doing the paperwork.
I got that too. But didn't get the 1099 until after I'd already filed. So now will have to do an amended return. Definitely a pain

Stubhub, ebay, paypal, venmo, etc. were all kind enough not to send any. But ticketmaster had to screw us once again. lol
Hope you're doing well. I'll be up your way quite a bit this year. I owe you a few beers.

Realizing all that goodwill helping others move up seats through F2F is a very complicated explanation to my tax guy. Will be interesting to see if it has an impact - if any - to taxes. At least LiveNation 1099 was all F2F sales to make it easier to calculate.

I have a pit ticket for MSG2 and Boston two that I am looking to swap for a decent pair ..and will pay the difference. Let me know if anybody would be interested or has anything
Anyone interested in trading their Wrigley N2 tickets for my Wrigley N2 tickets? I’m in section FLDX row 15. Ideally I’d be looking for front row (preferably aisle) in anything below 200 level. Also would be interested in suites.
Do we know when F2F is actually “live”? All I’ve seen for Seattle and PDX are just overpriced premium tickets.
Could be as soon as monday. I would say it will depend on how many face value tickets are remaining for west coast, If you look at the ticket type filters, you will see one for "Fan to Fan" when it is turned on..
Here's a Fan 2 Fan question for the vets. So I am looking at Bleachers tickets in Philly. I missed teh presale but it looks like Bleachers were using a face value ticket exchange where fans can resell for face value. It says clearly that tickets are non transferable and mobile only. Iff you visit the ticketmaster site there is a drop down filter for the exchange but there are no seats available. However, I see tickets available on Stubhub and SeatGeek for like 2x face value. Have people found a way around this system and are reselling on the secondary sites, or are people who buy on Stubhub etc going to get screwed? I would think SeatGeek and these other sites would definitely not want that to happen, so how are these listings posted? I know lots of times there are postings for seats that are not yet in hand, but in this case if all the tickets are non transferable, how would this work?

Brokers have figured out a workaround for the transfer restrictions. My understanding is that most of the tickets from stubhub, seatgeek etc. have worked for people.

It’s not open yet. I just clicked on the sell button and it said resale has not yet been authorized. But the page layout on TM changed, so hopefully soon. Or who knows, it could be another month.
Anyone know if Wrigley transfers are open on TM yet?

Anyone know if Wrigley transfers are open on TM yet?
They are on the MLB tickets. I bought a pair from someone last night who had bought them during the season ticket holder sale. I got a notice about an hour later that they had been transferred into my MLB account app. They are in there with the ability to forward them to another MLB account.
PJ needs to sell most of the premium tickets before they decide they'll open up the F2F exchange. The non-transfer thing isn't for the fans, its for the band. It makes it so no fan can undercut the market selling their tickets back for face value while the band is trying to unload $800+ PJ premium tickets.

I get that but in Illinois it’s the law to allow transfer.

It wont - there was no Profit. Cost of tickets- Sold for the same price, since TM offers sellers to set their price on other shows 9 (Transferable ones), there is no way for them to effectively weed out those that were F2F yrs standard resale. In the case of standard resale you would need to report the income you made over the price you paid. You add the 1099, then you add line items for your costs - the price of tickets - It zeros out.

I was surprised that they ended up being transferred that night. I figured both the TM and MLB ones would become transferrable at roughly the same time. Hopefully TM allows it soon. I wonder if they delay it until F2F is ready to go for the shows.
