What about the people on the opposite end of the spectrum?

What about someone that bought Rear Stage tickets for Oklahoma City because they misplayed the market and rushed to get them fearing the show would sell out.

On StubHub that person could cut their loses and recoup whatever they could by selling for under face value.

With this system and the number of tickets that have been posted on the F2F for that show there is a good person that person is gonna eat those tickets with a spicy marinara sauce.

They could go to a Pearl Jam show, if they wanted to.
Ha.  In the words of family feud....good answer, good answer

I already have Baltimore - but those 2 were Aisle seats and I feel like I am missing out on all the fun of getting them in my cart to be told I lost them

I am still clicking on MSG periodically hoping new tickets will drop.....
  • People must be fast as F$%& because I'm on it instantly and on a super fast connection at work. I've hit enough poster drops to know how to get through screens quickly...but this is next level fast!
  • Someone beat me to those Baltimore 226's as well. All my cc info entered, declined insurance, it was spinning and another fan got them

Me too! That was the only reason I was excited for F2F. Now I’m just losing my mind going for Balt LOL. Based on the Stubhub prices for MSG I think we are royally porked.

....and if they can't?  Or if they realize there are far better seats available and they want to upgrade?

The pink dots on this map are absolutely screwed.  They is 0% chance they will sell.  They are F2F $121 listings and all the blue dots are still unsold $103 TM seats, of which there are a ton left.

Apparently it's OK that someone dropped like $200 on them when they went on sale and now literally has no way of unloading them if they need to?

Why is that person an acceptable causality in this new system?

  • My god, after 3 DAYS (and multiple failed transactions), I'M IN!!! Going to Baltimore.  A pair in 226 Row G.  Not the best seats but for a smaller arena not too shabby at all.  I say this not to gloat but to hopefully give hope to those out there, stay with it!

One peice of advice -- on a whim I switched credit cards for this from a mastercard debit card to my chase sapphire visa.  I noticed than when I was purchasing with the mastercard, I got a popup after starting to purchase that would say "mastercard is verifying" or something like that, so I suspected that may be slowing me down vs normal visa process, and low and behold this went through (though it may totally have been luck of the draw).

IT IS POSSIBLE FOLKS, GOOD LUCK!!

Grabbing insurance gives you a better chance -- ticketmaster gets a cut

I see what you are saying saltzy.   So maybe have a feature where you can set your own price as long as it isn’t over face.

I dont think the tenacity of the 10c fans was expected. People, myself included, refreshing for hours on end to not even just get tickets but to upgrade tickets to shows they already have. I certainly didnt expect to spend this much time monitoring f2f, but its turned into a challenge now.
But how many tickets have dropped for any of these shows? I haven't been following all of them, but for Baltimore what is it like 50? That suggests that virtually all of the tickets were initially sold to people who, at least as of now, intend to use them. That is an incredible accomplishment for the band.
Great point. Putting personal agony to the side, all in all, this has proved to be a tremendous success for the band. Remember that at a macro level, the goal is to fill the seats with fans and limit scalpers. That appears to have happened.

We are coming at it from the angle of "yeah, but I want to be the fan in the seat". At this point, to the band it really shouldn't matter especially considering it is virtually a guarantee that any tickets sold on this the Fan to Fan marketplace are accomplishing just that, going from fan to fan.
definitely has really hurt scalpers...but has also really hurt fans in the northeast.  access to the NE shows was incredibly limited by this system.  it is what it is...but now imagine paying for every band you ever want to see to join their fan club to have the opportunity to see any show if everyone uses this system.  not good for fans.

also if they were going to use this system to resell it should be a lottery again for those that had already put in their priority for these.  so there is waiting list and first ones who missed out get offered those that get up.  I know Dead and Company uses a system like this for their concerts in the Sand series in Mexico. Their is a priority list of those that don't buy the tickets so next in line is offered etc.
