I'm 38 and I discovered them right around the time No Code was released, so would've been 14 years old or thereabouts.
Oasis and then Nirvana were my first loves. The Nirvana rabbit hole led me instantly to Pearl Jam and it was game over from that point on.

Heard them on WDRE on Long Island in 1991. Didn't get Ten until Spring/Summer of 1992. After I got the album, I was a fan for sure.

20th... Saw a part of the Rock am Ring show from 2000 on MTV when I was 17 which led to obsessively collecting all possible daughter tags on mp3 and buying the Salzburg 2000 bootleg as my first album
Considering I'm 32 years old with young parents and grew up an hour south of seattle, Pearl Jam has always been present in my life since I was like 5. 18 years ago is when I finally jumped in with both feet

28th - It was the Even Flow video and MTV Unplugged that kicked off the love affair. I got my first cassette copy of Ten by trading a friend The Black Crowes - The Southern Harmony & Musical Companion that year. Been keeping up since.

I still remember where I was the first time I heard “Alive” in ‘91 and I got the Stickman tattoo 26 years ago in ‘94. No regret’s! Through all the up’s and down’s of life it’s been a GREAT ride with this band. Never thought I’d make it this long but… I’m still Alive!
2020 is PJ30, Thank you for the music guy’s, you have changed and touched many lives.
You just provided me with a different perspective: 10 days before they release Gigaton I'll be in my 10th year of official 10C membership (a lot of 10s there ). I used to lurk the old forums from 2002 (high school years - PEARL JAM was drawn on every single mouse pad in the computers lab) until 2010 that I finally became a member. Fell in love with their sound around 9-10 (another 10 seriously?) years old (1998) due to a cassette of Live On Two Legs that my oldest brother left stranded on top of the family sound system. So, in that sense, 2020 marks my 22nd year as a PJ fan.
Thanks for all the amazing moments guys! Here's to many more to come!
