28th. I remember the trifecta of awesome that came out around that time. Badmotorfinger, Ten and Nevermind. I had a group of friends that didn't get any of that music, but I did, and quickly lost all those friends. No matter. Got new friends and am still tight with some of them.

I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love.
Looks like 29 years. Started as a Mother Love Bone fan and we all know where things went from there. I seem to recall my buddy getting a dub of a demo before Ten came out? It's been so long I can't remember exact details.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th 1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California Nothing since then. I suck. 2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights 2022- Oakland Night 2 2024 Sacramento, CA
I distinctly remember grade 9 age 14 putting up a picture of them in my locker. That probably would of been the first half of '92? I knew them a little going into Lollapalooza.
So '92 to now. 28 years. Probably like everyone else as they exploded that year
30. Then again I count Mother Love Bone's release of Apple in 1990. I was devastated when Andy Wood died and was ecstatic when Stone & Jeff regrouped with Mike, David & Ed first as Mookie Blaylock and then as Pearl Jam. ❤️
Heard Even Flow in a friend’s car, and just thought, “What in the world is that?” I was hooked and that was it!
First show in ‘96 in Charlotte, a great live start!
I remember hearing Even Flow the first time too. I was so excited to share it with my older brother. I remember walking into the movies after having played the tape and telling him that these guys were going to be big. I don't remember being blown away though. Music was already changing, thankfully. I do remember the first time we saw Man in the Box on Mtv. THAT blew me away because it was not friggin' hair metal. That felt astoundingly different to me.
Whatever year Betterman came out on the radio while I was in HS. then didn't listen to them again until I bought the bootleg Tokyo Japan album 2003. after listening to that album i became a bigger fan. so a long time now. first concert was Virginia Beach 2008. why it took me so long? i was poor most my life and didn't know i could just buy concert tickets like that. PJ opened up my world.

29th- Friend of mine heard Temple of the Dog in a record store. Loved it, backtracked to MLB and knew Pearl Jam was going to rock before 10 was released. Sent the scan of early fan club letter to TwoFeetThick. No complaints for 10club. They have delivered.
28, got into them during 10th grade. I remember being so excited for Vs to be released in the fall the next school year (the day before my 16th birthday).
I had heard rumblings about the greatness of live PJ, but not really being a rock fan and having the impression that PJ was just a notch above nickleback I was wary. I picked up Live in Tokyo 2003 randomly at walmart and Release absolutely hooked me. I knew in hearing the first song that this wasn’t an average rock band. I picked up Lost Dogs the same week and basically wore those discs out. My first taste of the band was a stellar one, still love lost dogs and listen to it often
Once I heard Alive I was mesmerized and had to find out who these guys were so I started ordering all the import cd singles I could get along with any shirts and Merch I could find.
1991,so 29 years a fanatic and 27 as a fan club member (1993). Sent in my $5 when Vs came out.
Not quite 7 for me. Picked em up in high school when I had my musical “awakening”, so to speak. I’d imagine I might be in the contest for youngest 10c member.
