Like with people who don't already listen to Pearl Jam? Hasn't happened in 25 years, so don't count on it. Probably not unless the actual album is a resounding critical success.
  • Yes  i think it already  is. 90 odd %are positive  about it. Thats higher than a normal new pj release i think.

Good question.  I would say relative to their previous singles.

However, my theory is they purposely released DOTC to shake things up, creat some buzz, and attract a new audience vs releasing another generic rock single....even though the new album will have some solid rockers.  Pretty genius move in my opinion.

With those beats, it is ripe for a dance remix, just like in the 80's. It would be ridiculous and beautiful.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
    2024 Sacramento, CA

Popular with us fans? Just  my guess .
    Im probably wrong.
I did think  it has the  possibility  to play on radio here in the u.k.
Except the  word dick  but must be an edit  ready for that.

It is a hit. #1 on iTunes Rock for 4 days and counting. Rising up radio. If you're asking if it will be played on Top 40. Hard to say

30 million views on YouTube are pretty big for Pearl Jam. Don’t know about radio

Id say Just Breathe was their last big hit. Unless this album gets grammy attention, it will probably go largely unnoticed by the general public is my guess
  • My 14 year old daughter told me that DoC is better than all other PJ songs, but she still doesn't like it. That's counts as a hit, right?

I never gave a fuck, and still do not give a fuck what anyone least of all "radio" (or whatever its equivalent would be today) thought of subjective art.

That is absolutely true! It does however make me happy when my favorite band‘s music gets the recognition it deserves

I know, but the way BoB talked the band into putting it onto the slbum was like the song was pure gold
