Sunday he got the worst headache he said he's ever had, fever (101) body aches, cough and painful pressure in his sinuses. Monday he felt somewhat better. This morning he got a rapid covid test and it's positive. He now is experiencing shortness of breath, difficulty breathing in deeply along with the other symptoms. He is very healthy with no pre-existing conditions but his wife is keeping an eye on him because he's the "oh I'll be fine" type about everything. He was out to dinner last Tuesday night with clients who have all been fully vaccinated (hospital administrators). My guess is that's where he got it because other than that, he wears a mask quite diligently.I was over at his house for about 15-20 minutes on Friday so I'm getting a test tomorrow just in case, though I have no symptoms.Man I'm tired of all this, as we all are.0

I do have a problem with people not taking the vaccine though.

I told her at this point, her parents have made their choice. If they die of Covid-19 after having us over for Thanksgiving or something, they made that choice.Humanity did all it could, and they told humanity to fuck right off. Bully for them, I guess.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
A lady where my brother works refused the vaccine and she has had cancer . She is now getting bullied and senior staff are continuing to question her and put pressure on her.
I'm pro vaccine .I will get mine when I'm offered for sure. My mum is getting hers tomorrow but its everyones choice and as a long term chronic health anxiety person I can see why the worry and why people may not want to.
But we are as a human race. In a race against time here. And I believe its my duty when offered to take a vaccine .
Its not over for anyone. Until its over for everyone.!Post edited by lastexitlondon on

I skipped taking anything yesterday, inflammation is a natural part of the immune response and I didn't want to do anything to lessen the desired immune response the vaccine induces. The jury is out on whether that minor immune suppression is detrimental, but I figured since it doesn't usually help, I'd just tough it out. It was a long day, but I'm good as new today and Dr. Gambs only had a minor headache and minor fatigue...if I don't have any migraines within the next month or so then I will just consider it my regularly scheduled day of misery lolMonkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
The arm soreness was way worse than any other vaccine, but I lift weights every day so I am accustomed to sore muscles.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0

At one of her regular televised Covid briefings in early December, Gov. Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island addressed the residents of her state to deliver a round of bad news. “I’m not going to sugarcoat this,” Raimondo said. “It’s getting scary in Rhode Island.” In the previous week, a daily average of 123.5 out of every 100,000 people in the state tested positive, which suggested, by that measure, that Rhode Island was the most Covid-infected region per capita in the country, which was to say the world. Stern and matter-of-fact, Raimondo urged viewers to do their part by not socializing; encouraged residents to take advantage of the state’s plentiful testing facilities; gave a thank-you to school leaders and teachers for all their hard work; and then paused for what seemed like the first time in 30 minutes, as if she considered all she had said so far to be preamble and she was only now getting to the heart of her message.
“Every day that a child is out of school,” she said, “is a problem for that child.” She shook her head slowly as she spoke. As bad as the numbers were in Rhode Island, she was about to bear down on a conviction she had held since the spring: Schools must remain open for in-person learning.

Ontario plans to cancel March Break or postpone to stop the spread. The schools here were closed 2 weeks before Xmas and just re-opened this week...
Gotta love government logic...close the schools to stop the spread, cancel March Break to stop the spread...my thinking is they are just fucking with the teachers...teachers and school staff need a break. It’s not like teachers were not teaching...they were teaching online.
I work in schools. Schools are not safe. 27 kids piled into classrooms that were meant for 20 is not SAFE.
The only reason they push to keep schools open is to continue the baby sitter services that parents have become dependent upon.
If schools are open, then small business can operate...Give Peas A Chance…0
