I'm just surprised he doesn't know. He's been planning this trip to see his mom for a while. I like that SC cares enough to quarantine first.
I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
Animals were hiding behind the Coral
    Except for little Turtle
I could swear he's trying to talk to me

How long should I quarantine for, before going to stay with riskgorupperson?

Trying to figure out when I will do my last grocery shopping.

I know the train ride will break quarantine. That is one risk I will take. Or if I can get my brother to come pick me up.

But I have my covid-19 certified mask, I will travel mid-day and not on a weekend when there are the least amount of passengers. Etc.

Sounds like a pretty big risk. Ah well, your choice, huh. Maybe “real” quarantine upon return? Or not.

Sorry, but that's the risk your Mom will have to take!
mcgruff10 is absolutely right - just rent a car, I'm sure your Mom is worth it. :)

I just made the decision to stay away from my parents till Christmas. Cases are going through the roof here in Germany and I just learned that a couple I know and at my age are both positive now. They are living in the same small town like my parents. Time for them to let me take care of their needs again and stay at home for the rest of the year. I'm sure we'll get another hard lock-down again on Wednesday anyway. Just too late for being safe around Xmas!

    Stay safe all!

I am really curious how Canada is getting vaccines out to the public before you guys in Germany are able to do. Looks like it will only be weeks apart if that but we are getting our shipment from Germany any day now and just find it odd that the country making the vaccine is not using first or the very least at the same time as the countries they are selling it to. Hope you guys can make it through the next month and this vaccine starts putting a decline in hospitalizations and deaths. Stay safe to you as well!

We'll she's the one telling me to come, so yes. She doesn't want to be all alone over christmas. We have cancelled being at my sisters place (like we use to) and with her kids, and my brothers etc.

Will just be me and mom. And my cat.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/first-doses-covid-19-vaccine-1.5839614

8% of our population will be vaccinated by the end of March in Canada just by the Pfizer vaccine alone. That is a lot more than I expected. For those that thought we had to wait until the countries that were making the vaccine to get all of theirs first what do you think now about how the Trudeau government is handling this?
