  • I’ve been in since 1996 & didn’t get tickets to the 2 shows I applied for. First time in awhile I haven’t gotten tickets. What a fucking joke this Ticketmaster system turned out to be
  • Completely agree.  The GA percentage for Nashville was at 29% and somehow I didn't get a ticket.  I've been in the ten club since 2000. This is bullshit.

Did anyone here ever take a Statistics course? I’m sure you could find one online.

Me 3.  I was concerned at the very beginning when I saw that ticketwhore was involved in the process.  What a surprise, I didn't get tickets to any of the three shows I put in for.  Complete and total bullshit!  I bet those tm fuckers found a way to farm them all out to scalpers.
  • Also didn't get tickets and this isn't the first time I have lost one of these lotteries. What is the exactly the point of me paying a membership fee for the last 10 years? Seems to just be constant disappointment and a lack of value. Love Pearl Jam, but they need a better system than this.

Been paying the membership fee since it was a paper card no tix to my first two either ☹️ Longtime membership doesn’t mean much anymore.

  • I am joining the complaints...I just spoke with a close friend who just renewed his membership two years ago.  (I have been a member since paper memberships as well (90's)...I have never been denied a show...EVER. ) Well, he got tix to the show and I didn't.

If its on seniority...how is this possible?  What is this BS TicketMaster process? because I obviously don't understand this...

Tickets aren't by seniority, reserved seating is.

What I don't understand is why the GA Pit tickets are distributed via random lottery in which every member gets an equal opportunity to be drawn for tickets, regardless of Ten Club tenure / seniority. It's my understanding that this has been the past process and it's currently being utilized for this tour - am I mistaken or has it changed?

If seniority determines Reserved seating opportunity, why doesn't it determine GA Pit opportunity?

One could easily weight the GA Pit drawing by seniority.

Example: Someone with 22 years Ten Club membership gets 22 proverbial ping pong balls in the hopper to be drawn for GA Pit tickets; someone with 11 years Ten Club membership gets 11 proverbial ping pong balls in the hopper to be drawn for GA Pit tickets; someone with 3 years Ten Club membership gets 3 proverbial ping pong balls in the hopper to be drawn for GA Pit tickets.

Once someone gets their ping pong ball drawn from the hopper, they are awarded their pair of GA Pit tickets, and all of their other ping pong balls are withdrawn. Then, another ping pong ball is withdrawn, another pair of GA Pit tickets is awarded, and any remaining ping pong balls for that member are removed from the hopper.

The process continues until all GA Pit tickets are distributed.

This seems like a ticket distribution process that could actually be executed more easily than even what they currently do for Reserved seats. Just curious why something like it isn't used for GA Pit ticket distribution.
  • I’ve been a member from the start and did not get tickets. This stings. Anyway, Lilly and I will be at the Nashville concert. Remember the Ryman story? Well she’s 21 now. It’s gonna be a special night-gonna try presale on the 23rd.

One reason the band went to GA and not floor seats is because they wanted to give newer members a chance to be down in front.  In your theory a long time member would have their name in that many time more than someone who only has a couple years.

  • That makes sense.
  • So...I just want to make sure I have this straight...if I put in for both GA and reserved tix and didn't get GA then I should have secured reserved if it said I had a 99% chance?  or it is a random drawing for both GA and reserve then sorted by seniority... I am really confused about how I did not get tix.

I had to call 10C for assistance with the pre-sale code I was sent and while on the phone I was told that the lottery was random in terms of scoring actual tiks & GA but that seniority was used for Reserved Seating. The higher your seniority the better your seats. I thought it made perfect sense. Think of it, if high ranking members always had priority over all available 10C tiks to every single concert then newer members would never stand a chance of scoring tiks as the same people would always win - every. single. time. What incentive does that give for anyone new to join the club? I mean God forbid you're a new(er) or younger fan but are just as obsessed with PJ as an older fan. You'd be totally screwed because your high membership number would always exclude you from pre-sale tik access. This way every paying 10C member has an equal chance to win tiks and maybe, just maybe get pit access however your longtime loyalty and low membership number will reward you with the much better seats if you do win. Seems like a fair system to me. 🤷‍♀️

Agreed. Makes perfect sense. I’m a new 10c member but have been attending shows for years as a guest of a 10c member so I consider myself a “real” PJ fan. I’m grateful to have a shot at GA seats for the Nashville show. Seen PJ live probably 10 times but never GA.
  • I've been shut out as well. This is the THIRD time; Worcester 2013, Fenway 2016 and now MSG 2020. I am just heartbroken, again.
