Driving up from Windsor with a girlfriend for this concert, first PJ show ever for both of us!!! Expectations are extremely high to say the least. lol Most likely staying at Visitors Inn (less than 5min away from Copps). We had reservations at Hamilton Plaza and Conference Centre but then we both read a lot of horrible reviews about room cleanliness so we switched to Visitors Inn.
If its the one I am thinking of on Main St. its pretty ghetto looking. Try the Admiral Inn on King and Dundern St. Never stayed there but it looks nice on the outside. I wish I still lived on Park St. downtown. I could see Copps Coliseum from my front yard.
Yeah it's the one on Main St., here is a pic. I was leery as well at first but the reviews of this place are all excellent, the best I've seen out of all the hotels I've looked at in Hamilton thus far, and I've read a TON of hotel reviews in the last few days. Seriously, I had no idea how difficult it was to find a reasonably priced, CLEAN hotel in Hamilton. The customer reviews for Visitors Inn far exceeded those of Admiral Inn and Hamilton Plaza and Conference Centre. My main priority is cleanliness and multiple mentions of uncleanliness in a hotel's reviews turns me off immediately as does any mention of bed bugs. Fingers crossed Visitors Inn turns out to be as good as the hundreds of reviews say it is.
Try the Marriott on Upper James or
the Sandman hotel on Centennial Parkway.   Both are very nice and newer hotels.  However they are not downtown and you would have to drive or Uber to the show.

Yeah I actually looked at The Marriott but it's well over $300 for a room there on March 24 and that's over 2x more than my friend & I are willing to pay for a place to rest our heads after the concert. Sandman looks nice but it's just too far away from Copps and any money saved on price of room would be spent in cab/uber fare to & from the concert. No I'm happy (right now lol) with Visitors Inn. Honestly the reviews are fantastic, cost is perfect and it's less than 5min away from Copps. We're set. 👍😊

Booked the Visitors Inn as well.  Reviews looked good. Hoping it’s walkable to the arena.

    GA for me! Can’t wait!
Its about a 5 to 10 min drive from that inn to the arena depending on traffic. I used to live in that area. There is a McDonalds right near that hotel. So if you're baked after the show you can get munchies on the way back...lol. Oh and I think there is still a Pizza Pizza in the same plaza too. Plus a Tim Hortons incase you are hungover and need a coffee.
If your talking about Dundurn plaza then yes, theirs a McD’s , Timmy’s , Pizza Pizza and a grocery store.

Splendid!  That's easy-peasy.  My only concern is hoping my US-based cell service (Consumer Cellular) works fine there...hopefully no issues.

I am staying at the Days Inn on Main Street... reviews aren’t so great also saying the area is terrible and some cars broken into etc.  I think it’s walkable to the venue and was reasonable priced so I booked it with ability to cancel for free.  Anyone stayed here before?  Is it as bad as others say?  Apparently they renovated it recently at least.  Not sure how safe it is to park your car in this area.  I am not driving anything fancy and don’t leave stuff in my car.
I initially booked a room at Days Inn as well. Ended up cancelling the reservation a few days later after reading reviews. When I called to cancel the reservation it turns out they had me down for May 24 and not March 24 even though my email confirmation from them clearly stated March 24. I don't mean to alarm you with this comment but I would double check on your reservation, just to be 100% sure they have you down for correct date.

All jokes aside... this kinda hits close to home a little bit. I love my city, it's a great place and is constantly put down by outsiders that don't take the chance to check it out. I hope everyone that comes to visit get a chance to explore and if anyone needs anything don't hestitate to ask! :)

Ya there is one near the venue i think. Canna cabana i think
Yes, Canna Cabana is a close legal dispensary. Convenient if you are an American visitor. If you are crossing in Niagara, there is also the Niagara Herbalist in St. Catharines which is 5 minutes off the QEW. Live menu on their website.

I've been to the Hammer dozens of times so I'd say I've thoroughly checked it out. I'm glad you enjoy living there but a good chunk of downtown has a reputation for a reason and I wouldn't want to be there at 4am. Other parts of the city are great and the area around Copps will be perfectly safe for the concert. Downtown Kitchener, London and Windsor are all similarly sketchy. Hamilton is sadly not alone in this.

That said, like 80% of my posts, I am exaggerating for laughs and don't truly mean it. Just like when I say Stoney Creek is 100% mafia. Sorry if I offended.

     .

I won't be in the GA line but I hope the weather is in our favour.

On March 24, the temperature in Hamilton typically ranges from 0°C to 5°C and is rarely below -6°C or above 12°C.

.. And no I won't be in line for merch @ 4am. Maybe around 7am or so. :p

If you can, avoid the legal dispensaries.  The product is typically shit (VERY dry, making for a harsh smoke and expensive).  You might get something that was packaged late 2019/early 2020 by the time the concert rolls around.

Rather, use weedmaps.com and find a local delivery service.  More often than not the product and pricing are both better.

True that. The stuff from the legal stores sucks. I still order mine from my black market online store. I think I recommended Canna Cabana to another poster but forgot it was a legal store.

Delivery is even better, thanks for the tip.  We in Michigan are just getting storefronts and none are within an hour from my home, so I haven’t even taken advantage of the legalization.  But I loved the quality and delivery to my hotel in California the last few times I’ve been there.

All jokes aside... this kinda hits close to home a little bit. I love my city, it's a great place and is constantly put down by outsiders that don't take the chance to check it out. I hope everyone that comes to visit get a chance to explore and if anyone needs anything don't hestitate to ask! :)
I need something, I'm coming to visit from Australia, still need a ticket to the show... =)
