2020 Fall North American rumour thread

They should be touring there right now imo if we did not have covid I would bet any money on it. If it is viable to tour there next winter I bet they go that route instead of waiting until late 2022/early 2023. Who the fuck knows though and I will admit I do enjoy the tour chatter even if there is very little proof behind anything actually coming to fruition.ÂAmishGuy91 said:
Exactly, really surprised others took that as gospel they will be doing a tour in AUS anytime soon. They are not going to re-start internationally. ÂRatherStarved said:I would take his comment as similar to comments he makes at end of shows like “see you next year” and then they don’t come back for a decade.  He was talking to Australian hosts who asked if they would come there first  and he said he could see it.  What else is he going to say. So chances of outside PJ concerts in the Fall?Â
If not, I think 2022 is a lock.Â0 -
Damn I take every bit of news lately with a grain of salt since it flip flops so much but hard not to get excited from this. Still all in the hands of the health professionals and state/province/federal governments.ÂJim Tressel said:https://www.spin.com/2021/02/live-nation-ceo-michael-rapino-says-largescale-u-s-concerts-could-start-in-midsummer/

Maybe the 2 festivals they are booked for already. Â I don't see them canceling all the Canada/USA arena shows they already sold tickets for and selling tickets for only outside shows. I could see them postponing the indoor shows to 2022 due to the relatively higher risk of indoors compared to outdoors, and booking some outdoor shows for this summer and early fall. Normally it would be bad form to sell new shows before performing existing shows but in these circumstances I think it would be more than fine.Yefa said:

Florida, Tennessee, and now South Carolina can hold concerts starting tomorrow as SC has lifted restrictions on gatherings, curfews, and alcohol sale restricitons. Â Philadelphia, Virginia are a couple of others relaxing restrictions as early as tomorrow. Â Im Sure PJ wont play until 2022, but at this rate, its hard to believe that some concerts wont happen at 100% capacity this fall, somewhere in this country

If you're talking about the fanbois who *NEED!* shirts that say: "It doesn't get Eddie Vedder than this" well, there's no explanation necessary.
Of course they're going to take his word as official announcement. They haven't even discussed anything yet.

What exactly is a mess in Florida? I don’t need to double check. He mentioned the number of deaths yesterday which is what I referenced. They are 28th in deaths per capita. Of course Florida has a high death overall since the beginning. They are highly populated. So once again, how is Florida a mess? They’ve been opened up since last summer and are better off than California or New York.ÂPoncier said:

You made it sound like Florida was 28th in total deaths and 3rd in population, therefore doing remarkably well.
They are 4th in total deaths and 3rd in population, 28th (actually if you look at the site I linked, 24th) in deaths per capita, so they are doing averagely. This weekend we rock Portland0 -

Keep in mind that a concert could also mean a local band charging $5 cover at some bar.
Also, Florida is a mess with that governor of theirs. Take what they do...and do the exact opposite.
That puts them 28th in the country in number of deaths. They are the 3rd highest populated state in the country. Thanks for proving my point. So again I ask. How is Florida a mess?NewJPage said:

Florida is 4th in total deaths behind California, NY and Texas.

You made it sound like Florida was 28th in total deaths and 3rd in population, therefore doing remarkably well.
They are 4th in total deaths and 3rd in population, 28th (actually if you look at the site I linked, 24th) in deaths per capita, so they are doing averagely.Poncier said:

Of course Florida has a high death overall since the beginning. They are highly populated. So once again, how is Florida a mess? They’ve been opened up since last summer and are better off than California or New York.ÂPoncier said:

You are right 24th, 28th. Whatever the case they are average. Not awful. Which is remarkable considering how long they have had things open and are having major sporting events and them me parks open. You have to compare states per capita. You can’t compare California to North Dakota.ÂPoncier said:
