I spent $40 on a burger, fries, & 4 bottled beers Monday. I should mention it was Matt’s Bar, it was a Jucy Lucy, and I was drinking Nordeast. Well worth it.

Reminds me of when I had a gym membership that was about $49.99/month and then we moved and I couldn't get it cancelled for months because they told me I had to come in person to do it. Then I went there and the person working didn't even really know anything and told me I needed to come back earlier in the day so I could talk to the manager. Fucking rip-off.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Bought Black Mountain's IV on orange vinyl off discogs. The reason? it was supposed to come with a cd of demos. It didn't. Douche that sold it to me said "it was sealed, as far as we knew it should have been included. take it up with the label".

Awesome. reminds me of the $40 I spend here.
    Darwinspeed, all.

Ha! That sounds totally shady! Was it on a credit card? You could have just stopped allowing paying, or cancel the card. But that is total BS

Today I spent $40 on my home insurance (fire/damage/theft), as I do every month. $40 for peace of mind isn't a bad deal.

I bought my wife and myself a little cushion for my (I don't dare say "her") coming old age by putting $40 in the bank today.

It's actually renter's insurance for a one bedroom apartment, I just kept my post as simple as possible, lol. It only covers the items inside of my apartment plus $1M liability coverage, not the building. So given that, it's actually pretty expensive!

Headed to the planetarium with my youngest. Three tickets and a souvenir will probably be right at $40.

That’s a steal! I got my clock cleaned taking the family to the field museum last week. $40 was one adult ticket ($38 actually).

Betcha paid at least that for parking. We went to The Field Museum years ago.  We had a reciprocal museum pass, so admission didn't cost us anything, but they had a football game going on at the same time and wanted us to either park miles away and be bused in or to pay $45 to park.  We left the in-law's in the car and dashed through.
