    Exactly for all of those.

Well, they did have 4 1/2 Months off. Some teams haven't played  since Mid-March. Not gonna please every team.

Maybe in NBA history, but not in "Sports" history. The English Premier League football resumed this season 47 days after completing last season....and the elite teams in that comp also have to play games in the other European Cup championships too. ANt that's roughly the time frame for all teams too...They all finished on the same day and start this season in the same week.

Let's not cry for them...these guys make millions and are lucky to still be playing when thousand have lost jobs all over the world this year.

Plus, they had 4 1/2 months off before the re-start of that Summer Tourney.

And 8 teams haven't played since Mid-March. How long are they suppose to sit around. There is no way to please every team.

Exactly...and if they want a delayed start, be prepared to miss out on some money. No ratings, means less money.

Some of these players are the biggest cry babies... Most of the big names miss games every season with "loads management" . I acknowledge that it's tough on their bodies, but it's been like that for decades and this current crop in the last 10 years are SOFT in comparison to others. Yet, get paid EXTREMELY well. You can't have the great pay, without sacrifice

    Pelicans got a haul.

-Three 1st rounders (2020, 2025, 2027), rights to swap picks with the Bucks in 2024 and 2026.  They’ll be trading alot of the picks they’ve stocked up for a superstar within two years.

-Best three pt shooter in the league - George Hill

-Replaced Jrue’s defense with Bledsoe (First Team All Defense)

If Giannis ends up leaving, those picks and swaps could be tremendous as the Bucks will return to the lottery.
If he stays, those picks will be in the high 20's most years and worthless.

Well put.  The Bucks are really making a play for Giannis to stay.

Where would he go if he leaves?  The Knicks?  Not a damn chance.

I see a good fit for him in Philly maybe?

Now, he has no reason to leave..

Draft seems pretty meh.  I think Obi Toppin is going to be great though.

    Talk about two different climates.

I thought about Miami but they have Butler and a great young bunch and I don't see a long term fit for him.

    He will stay in Milwaukee.

Avdija and Edwards I like.  The Israeli kid will be a stud Euro player in the making.

I would hope LaMelo would become good.  He looks good but don't think he is a generational player.
  • Trade rumors.

Is Gordon Hayward really wanted outside of Boston?

I don't see Harden playing well w Durant and Kyrie.  If those 3 could learn to play together it would be multi-chamionship worthy though.

Yes, it does seem like a weak draft.

Toppin should have a nice career.

From what  I've seen of James Wiseman play, I think he's going to be a really good player.

I'm curious to see what the Warriors do with the #2 Pick. Trade for a Veteran that can help right away or keep the pick?

I have NO clue about that player from Israel.

Edwards will need to get more consistent with his shot. He's a tough player who has the potential to be  good or he could be a bust. Pretty much the way it is for most of these players in this Draft?

Remember when you knew MOST of the players in the Draft and had a better idea how most would pan out?  Now, It's mostly about POTENTIAL. Players are so damn young.

The Toronto rumors have to do with his relationship with Masai Ujiri, which goes back to when Giannis was a kid. And The Heat have been targeting summer 2021 and Giannis for a while, setting up the cap space to go after him. Those 2 teams have long been the rumored front runners if he were to go to free agency.
These moves may keep him in Milwaukee, that's where he can make the most money, but it'll be interesting to see if he jumps on board right away and signs a super max or waits to see how things gel with the new additions.

One and done.  It's tough to know who anyone is in one year yet alone ALL the potentially good players.

It's an anomaly that a player does 4 years now...
  • Haward not signing w the Celts is an interesting concept.

Harden and Westbrook both want out of the third coast.

Draft day wasn't that exciting.  Knicks got a great player I think.

Avdija went 9th.  Thought he would go earlier.

Jordan picked Lamelo so that's the kiss of death, he won't do anything...
