Haward not signing w the Celts is an interesting concept.

Harden and Westbrook both want out of the third coast.

Draft day wasn't that exciting.  Knicks got a great player I think.

Avdija went 9th.  Thought he would go earlier.

Jordan picked Lamelo so that's the kiss of death, he won't do anything...
I was hoping the Hornets could get Edwards or Wiseman. I think Ball will be a good player, but I don't think he will live up to the hype. At least now we can get the Jordan vs Lavar one-on-one

I don't care much for Lavar, but I wouldn't pay anything to see that. I would probably watch if it was on ESPN or a streaming site.

It's funny that I wrote that as I was listening to sports radio on my way to work this morning and they were discussing this. Somebody floated the idea that Jordan drafted Lamelo strictly for the one-on-one game against Lavar. Then, after Jordan beats him handily, he trades Lamelo.

Haward not signing w the Celts is an interesting concept.

He has basically 2 options as  FA, Knicks or Atlanta.
His wife wants to go home to Indiana. Indiana doesn't have the cap space to sign him.
Most likely he'll end up traded to Indiana in a sign and trade and Celts will get a return. Has been ongoing talks for a while just haven't reached a deal (cause Trader Danny is still probably trying to live up to the ghost of Red Auerbach and fleece the Pacers). But it probably gets done. Most likely return is Myles Turner possibly along with Doug McDermott.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Interesting indeed!  I didn't read about any teams really wanting him.

He'd be very stupid to walk away from a $34.2 Mil player option if his agent didn't know there were suitors out there.

  • I think Atl isn't an option for Hayward now. They're working on a deal to sign Danilo Gallinari for something like 3yrs/$61M

glad to see favors returning to utah but it makes the azubuike pick seem a bit redundant. I guess it gives the youngster time to develop. utah has plenty of good players but no true superstar(s).

Not sure what Hayward's motivation for going to Charlotte is aside from money.

He wants to play both Lavar and Jordan 1 on 1!
  • Charlotte has wanted him for years. Apparently Jordan called him to help facilitate the deal.

What is any athletes motivation on why they go where they go?

For many it's trying to win a title, something that is not happening in Charlotte in the next 4 years.

But the Rockets just dealt for a guy who hasn't been able to walk since 1869 for $44 Mil per year on average.
Sounds like they are suckers too.

I don't think either team gets anything out of this.

One disgruntled player for another, who both get around  $40 MIL/YR.
