To be fair to Trader Danny, you should note that your beloved Jizz had 4 starters out as well as the top 2 guys off the bench (Clarkson & George).
Not many teams win with 6 of their 7 top rotation players absent. But keep blaming Ainge for Utah's woes.

    Aaaaand it begins...
I think he’ll be durable…he has been, so far…this strikes me as a freak, one time thing.
Yeah, this isn't an injury, its a blood clot. Not the thing one should be crowing about to justify his poor take.
I already admitted I was wrong but keep dragging that out there ponce.

You're the one who brought it back up with the "Aaaand it begins" post. Came across as a victory lap on a take that Wemby would be injury prone.
Nope.  Thats for injuries.  I said and recanted that he wouldn't be good.  Not sure why we are revisiting this?  Comment is for injuries.  Will he continue to have issues?  Dont know.
And my point was this isn't an injury.
Fair enough.  Speaking of injuries... Zion has been playing well.  I know I just jinxed him.
He'll probably fall off a porn star tonight and break his ass.
He aggravates me as much as Derrick Coleman did.
OMG, I forgot about him! He was great, if he was healthy and also in the SNES classic Super Tecmo Basketball. I dominated with him.
    It's a hopeless situation...

That dude was such a beast.  People forget just how good he was.  If he didn't have his demons the Nets would have been a completely different team.  With the loss of Petrovic and DC's demise, they had one hell of a team developing until that.

Why does the Knicks coach use so much hair gel on his bald head?

LeBron is such a clown.  Forces Bronny into the league when he’s not good enough and confronts Stephen A Smith because he has the gall to say Bronny can’t play.  I dislike Stephen A but come on LeBron stop being a whiny little bitch.

Good for Stephen A.  It's not the first time hes been come at either.  KD's Momma came at him, lol.  Imagine that?  Your mom comes to defend you from a sports announcer, lol.

Jokic was insane last night. First time in NBA history to record a 30-20-20 game.

And he asks so calm and casual about it. Guy is a beast!!

My brother & friends & I have been talking about Joker all day. As great as he is, I can't put him higher than 6th all-time for centers:

    Kareem
    Wilt
    Russell
    Shaq
    Hakeem

But yeah that stat line is unreal.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

Big game tonight, my Lakers and the champs. Not expecting a win, but also wouldn't be shocked. This has been a wild season for L.A. so far. I'm still in shock over the Luka trade.

I just hope it’s a competitive game. I could see Boston running away with it early if the lakers don’t show up

interesting discussion, but one I am not really qualified to join. I will say Jokic is a bit of a unicorn.

I watched that game.  It always cracks me up how slow he is but so dominant.

He can ball.  He has a shot that can't be blocked because of his height.

Shai should STILL win MVP as of right now though.  That team is crazy good and he has balled out too.

All the guys he's denigrating were very smart both as people and as basketball players. Russell and Chamberlain were both very intelligent.
It's either recency bias or something worse.

What's the one obvious difference between Jokic and those other 5 that might make some folks refer to them as smarter?

Not sure how it was implied that Joker isn't as smart as the Top 5.

He's unquestionably the best passing center in NBA history.

But he also can't defend a block of ice. He's smart enough to compensate for it in other ways, but he's not a great rim protector or post defender.

The 5 guys on the list above him would eat his lunch in the post, on both sides of the ball, as would/have a healthy Embiid and AD.

And some of the old NBA heads might put The Admiral and Moses ahead of Joker. I'm not sure about that.

I swear I'm not hating on Joker because I'm a Lakers diehard lol.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

Nothing was implied about Jokic not being as smart as the other 5.
We were told he is smarter than all of them, to which a few of us pushed back.

I could have coached those teams and won championships...

Kareem was the smarter of the two.  Not taking anything away from Bill but Kareem is a special type of smart.

Dingbat now but Phil Jackson was up there too until he did that number on the Knicks.

Andrew Bynum was another smart one.  Too smart to even care for the game, lol.

Should we talk about Basketball IQ though?

Magic, Bird, Marovich, Lebron, Jordan, Kareem, Duncan.  Who thought outside the box more?

bird I believe could for sure.  High basketball IQ. Could shoot the 3, rebound and pass. Ultimate intimidator.

Smaller players may have a tougher time like Cousy and Archibald.

I do think true centers like Shaq Robinson and Russel would have a harder time as there were no real Stretch 4's during their playing years and Shaq took all of 1 3 pointer his whole career?

We have knocked this around a bit.
