Zion shouldn't ask for a trade. The only thing that keeps the Pelicans from being competitive is ...checks notes...Zion unable to play due to injury. When he's healthy (all 14 days a year), they are a pretty solid team. Zion, Ingram & McCollum is a decent core.

They definitely weren't being run well when Paul was traded to the Clippers. That was when the NBA took over the organization because they were losing money and the majority owner couldn't sell the team.
For AD I thought they righted the ship management wise, they just weren't good. I think they made the playoffs twice with him and he wanted to play for rings.

I bought good seats before season started @ Barclays , day before super bowl in ‘24 to see how 7-4” can play like he’s 6-2” and pretty much position less basketball …. Spurs really gotta thank their lucky stars a few of these blue chips fell their way over the last few decades , it’s bonkers actually

For AD I thought they righted the ship management wise, they just weren't good. I think they made the playoffs twice with him and he wanted to play for rings.
