Wembanyama already looks like a monster on the court. This kid is going to be special. Perfect team for him to grow too.

    ^^^Yes he does.

Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren are gonna battle it out for years to come.

I hope you're right as I don't have faith in either of them.

I've been right about Zion so far, I wouldn't mind being wrong about these two as the league could use some new faces to carry the game.

    IF they stay healthy !

When healthy, Zion has played really well.

I said that too when I watched him play. Again, I’d like to be wrong.

Zion was one of the more exciting players I’ve seen and it’s a shame he doesn’t play.

I think you will be on this one. The fact that Pop is his coach is just another thing working in his favor.

At least the Lakers got to exact their revenge on Denver like they'd been talking about all summer.

His preseason was ok, not good...

Irvings first shot of the game he blocked.  Iwas like ok here we go... Only block of the game.  He scored 15.  He wasn't as dominant as the hype would be.

He's young.  I'll give him time.  I still think he will be a good player, not dominant.
  • Lebron showed up the 4th quarter yesterday and outscored the whole PHX team for the W.  I know he cant do that every night but damn...

    Zion showing up.

I know Holmgren is hyped too but meh...

Laker fans shouldn't get too hyped about a home win against a PHX team missing Booker and Beal to injury.

Hence my saying don't expect him to do this every night.

So you're basing this updated assessment after his... first game? Good of you to give him some time though. lol

I didn't see it but 15 points in 23 minutes while being in foul trouble all game doesn't sound too bad for an NBA debut.

Hmmm no, good and ok are not the same thing.  Tell your friend that or google the definitions.

I've said I don't see him being great when watching the preseason stuff.  Haven't changed my stance so if being consistent is "that guy" then ok Hoss.

    They kinda are, mmmmmm K

I didnt say Great, where you could have interjected and showed contrast. If your not up to snuff , just say so, ill formulate my responses with that in mind

Do we really need to look up the definitions between good and ok?

I don't see him as being a generational player like people are saying.  I don't see it.

He is on the best team to polish his skills though. Pop is perfect for him as a mentor.

I mean the kid is 19. His first exposure to playing NBA basketball. It's going to take some time for his skills to fully develop, as well as his body to fill out.
Kobe wasn't exactly the Black Mamba right out of the gates as a teenager. He averaged 7.6PPG his first year.

Wemby will be a superstar in a couple years assuming he stays healthy.

You think so though? I wouldn't mind being wrong but I just don't see it.

I remember Kobes first year and thought he was horrible.  He also was the only one wanting to take the shot in the playoffs and launching airballs.

His size and skill level are a rare combo. I think he'll end up as a dominant force in the league, but not for a couple of years.
