Is anybody buying the hype on Wemby?  I think the twins will be better long term players.
just about everyone is, including me. Better stack up on the rookie cards

Man, I don't know...  He is built like a young Kevin Durant.
And Durant is one of the top players in the league.

Rodman scored like 4 points a game and was a defensive genius and helped win games.

Wallace scored like 6 and helped win games.  I know there are more players but if n you don’t think defense helps win games or is just dismissed for a 6th man then we are just wat off on what and how we see the game.
Comparing what Rodman and Ben Wallace brought to Caruso is laughable. Defense definitely is important (though a bit less so in this era than previous eras), but not what Caruso brings.

Rodman led the league in rebounding 7 straight seasons (and averaged 7.3PPG for his career, not 4, more than Caruso)
Wallace had 7 straight years of double digit rebounding including leading he league twice in his prime, and average d over 3 blocks in 3 straight of those seasons.

Caruso's career avg is 6.0 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 2.7 APG.
The only category he performs above average in (most are waaaaay below average) is steals with 1.2 SPG. His stellar defense looked great Friday, fouling out.

He should be no higher than the 8th option on a playoff team, yet he's starting for the Bulls who (checks notes) are hitting the golf course today.
I knew I'd get this from you even though he will be all NBA defense 1st team?  Got it.
He will not be first team. Got it?
He will be 2nd or 3rd.
I forgot to come back to this.

    All NBA 1st team awards.

Yeah that's why I mentioned his build.  It's not like Shawn Bradley.

    The comments here lately

    hahaha

    omg

its like the crazy world we live in… just take a different position for fuck sakes

    the twins 🤣🤣🤣

yea they are gonna be better than a guy who has all 3 levels, is 7-5” can get anything, anytime… a unicorn by definition

vs 2 players that the draft sees every year, who have a few dudes even better than them in the draft in Miller & Henderson

Greg Odon was also built better than Durant coming out, now he’s prob putting urinal cakes in OSUs bathrooms

Because your takes are gold right?

I like the twins for long term.  They will both be around a while is my take.

Porzingis was a unicorn, howd that work out?

Odon.  Everybody knew Odon was damaged goods going into the draft.  I invested zero money into him and glad that I did.  Darko Milicik was the other one that we all knew wasn't going anywhere.  Those two draft picks still confuse me to this day, that and Bradley.

Will Wemby be great? I don't know. He looks good at scoring in the French league he's in.  Will be interested to see how he does against the best in the world.

My takes?, 5 minutes ago you’re saying they will be better in the long run than Wemby

now they will be around? Vastly different

week ago I mentioned super teams

you reply they are dead… fine your opinion, but I found it odd you wrote that you had previously mentioned that as if that’s GOLD cause it came from you? Go back & read that… super weird

    Then Suns get Beal… oops

  • tempo_n_groovetempo_n_groove Posts: 40,468
I don't know how you can misconstrue what I say as easily as you do.

I said the twins would be "better long term", that literally means they will be around longer.  I don't see how my position changed with what I said? "I like the twins long term".  Both instances I say the same thing...

Superteams I openly mocked myself by saying "Now lets see how many superteams get created in the offseaso nafter I said they were dead, lol!"  I expect them to start happening because I said they were dead.  Completely making fun of myself.

Yeah Suns got Beal, we discussed that already.

If Porzingis can stay healthy, huge win for the Celtics. While Smart will be missed, they have White and Brogdon to fill the role, plus likely will hold on to Pritchard now to back them up.
Plus, it removes the Smart/Jaylen Brown power struggle dynamic from the locker room (Tatum just sits quietly off in the corner), so could lead to a more harmonious overall vibe.

And they picked up 2 first round picks, basically moved from #35 to #25 this year and have Golden Shower's first rounder for 2024. Here's hoping the Warriors fall into the lottery.
    I didn’t know there was a smart/brown rift.

I was kind of surprised to see porzingus is only 28.

Dates back to a locker room incident in the bubble.
Not sure there was anything overtly ongoing, but safe to say they weren't hanging out after games.

So, the Wizzards have traded Beal and Chris Paul and got NO First Round draft picks?
  • CROJAM95CROJAM95 Posts: 9,912
I think Poole way better than Paul, 14 years younger… Not getting 1st rd pick(s) on Beal is a joke

Paul in GS doesn’t seam to mesh with how they play, Lakers or Clippers made more sense
  • cutzcutz Posts: 11,880
And the Wizzards didn't get a First Round Draft pick/s either for Porzingas?(How did I forget about that trade)

I agree that it's a Joke Wizzards didn't get a 1st Round for Beal too.

I 100% think Pop coaching him is a perfect fit.  If he does make it that will be a big part of it.

I think Kawhi was the only one that had an issue w that organization?
  • tempo_n_groovetempo_n_groove Posts: 40,468
A lot of trades going on.  That's nuts.

Does the Jordan curse continue and Brandon miller becomes mediocre?

I'm not surprised that Drew Timme went undrafted.  He will get picked up as a back up or G league it.  Somebody will have a need for him.

The Wizards trade a scorer in Beal but draft a defender in Bilal.  Dude has some ups though.

Jett Howard.  I did not know that Juwan had a son playing.  It will be interesting to see how he plays in the NBA.

Any moves or picks interesting to you?

The twins at 4 & 5 was unexpected going off mock drafts but nice to see.  I'm rooting for those two.

The Bullets former GM giving Beal the NBA's only no trade clause handcuffed the current GM. Miami was supposedly offering the whale formerly known as Kyle Lowry, Jamie from progressive and multiple first round picks, but Beal kiboshed it and basically said trade me to Phoenix.

Kawhi was pulling a stunt cause of his asshole uncle who wanted him in a bigger market, preferably his home in LA

That scumbag Zaza "Gabor" Pachulia changed the Spurs fortunes with a dirty ass move to injure  Kawhi

Spurs could have won that series and made an NBA Final, Again.....Kawhi I have much respect for, but like mentioned before he should have just said I want out....instead he crapped on their medical staff to try & win a PR war
