myoung321 said:Come-on........ You're obviously smart enough know that "Corporate Democrat" doesn't mean a democrat that works for a corporation..
I worked for one of the largest Oil & Gas Corporations in the world for 30 years.. so what? I have always been liberal... always considered myself a democrat. I just want the party to be more progressive.
I'm for Medicare for All... Why shouldn't everyone get the care I could get working for a big company? Biden is against it.. I cannot support him unless there is no other option left.... and here we find ourself back in the loop......... ::shrug:::
1) Medicare for anyone who wants it
2) Private Health Care
Sanders - 1 option:
1) Medicare
I couldn't support Sanders as a primary candidate until he introduces some fucking strategy into how he proposes getting things done. You want 1 option? Great. Do what the public will do: assume that the government will bungle it first, provide it as an option, optimize it, and you won't have a problem getting all to pivot to it over a few years if you can provide the quality. The absence of that will lead to people potentially receiving a lesser quality of service than they're used to, and guess what, people don't like that risk. If M4A is so vastly superior, you'll see that shift organically as people see the value instead of hear it from Bernie Sanders shouting it at you.

^^ I can’t believe this is the best the Dems could come up with. Out of like twenty candidates. Sad to see cause I like Biden, but Jesus, just keep as low a profile as you can and let Trump fuck up the virus response. The less Joe talks, the better. If not for the Coronavirus, I think Trump would steamroll him. But Trump has been so overwhelmingly bad with his response to the virus that even good ole Joe has a chance.2000: Camden 1, 2003: Philly, State College, Camden 1, MSG 2, Hershey, 2004: Reading, 2005: Philly, 2006: Camden 1, 2, East Rutherford 1, 2007: Lollapalooza, 2008: Camden 1, Washington D.C., MSG 1, 2, 2009: Philly 1, 2, 3, 4, 2010: Bristol, MSG 2, 2011: PJ20 1, 2, 2012: Made In America, 2013: Brooklyn 2, Philly 2, 2014: Denver, 2015: Global Citizen Festival, 2016: Philly 2, Fenway 1, 2018: Fenway 1, 2, 2021: Sea. I a very concerned he will get a covid bump. If this crisis extends it will make attacking trump very difficult in the fall.
Our bizarre social and political rules prevent many qualified candidates from winning in the US.
You have watched one of Cuomo’s pressers? He is articulate, straight with the facts, full of reason and compassion and filled with informative power point slides. The exact opposite of trump. But he can never win. Personally, a close relative works in a partially regulated field, Cuomo has caused a lot of grief with his authoritarian orders, but they are always about safety. The problem is Cuomo shifts govt responsibility to the private sector, because he is dictator. I think even with that, his response to this crisis we are changing our opinion about Cuomo.0 -

Frankly, I think this virus is a Godsend for the Biden candidacy. He doesn't have to travel and campaign which is good. And really, he should just keep a low profile for the next month or two and let Trump beat himself...because that's what Trump's doing right now.

Shouldn’t he act like a president? I mean he is president and so wouldn’t logic dictate that everything he does is acting like a president? I mean I despise trump but he does currently hold the title.Scio me nihil scire

I also don't know how this will affect the campaign. People gravitate to leadership during times of crisis. So Trump has a natural advantage in this, but he can certainly blow it (and has been).0 -
