It was edited on the DVD when released with the Ten super deluxe. I believe Ed was singing "Ohhhh Beth" at the end of Oceans in the original, and this was kind of flubbed out to just a humming type of vocal.
Looking forward to this. Maybe RITFW was kept off to put on one of the fanclub singles.
Can help but think though that now with all these live albums, Pearl Jam really are slowly becoming the Rolling Stones. Long time between albums, big stadium shows, excessive merchandise. Guess its what happens with big rock acts.

They probably didn't want to release a 2LP RSD release of MTV Unplugged so they just stuck with 1LP & not include the cover song on it. Maybe they will include a digital download card inside with a direct download to the complete MTV Unplugged broadcast in MP3 & ... my favourite 24Bit 192kHz Flac-HD format.
just annoying, the revisionist history of this band.
Eh. IDK. It’s just a vamp of him shouting out his GF. They haven’t been together for a while and now he’s in a different relationship with a family now. Not really unreasonable to mute the vocal track for that bit. No real reason for it to live on for posterity. And as a fan, it’s shouldn’t really have any meaning for us. also, live albums get edited all the time. Not just this band.
Of course I’m also someone who is totally fine with the Visual effects being redone in the Special Edition trilogy*

Maybe but, Dave Matthews Band is releasing a 5LP for this RSD I don’t see why Pearl Jam can’t release a 2LP.
I can understand cutting the banter at the end of the song, where he jokes about writing it for his surfboard and then says it was actually written for Beth, but editing the vocal is ridiculous.

* not Greedo or the additional/reshot material.
I know, but it was part of the show/song as it happened. I find it annoying that this band (or Ed) have a tendency to gloss over/completely omit items of history when the memories might not be particularly good ones. I find it weird when any band does it, not just this one.
my other fave band, the headstones, do the same thing. their second drummer was with them for 25 years. after he quit (the official statement), it's like he doesn't exist. they have completely erased him from their history as a band.
There will be 13,000 copies. They probably want them to moooooove.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th 1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California Nothing since then. I suck. 2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights 2022- Oakland Night 2 2024 Sacramento, CA
If they had made this 2 LPs then the price would have been at least $10 more. Maybe even more. Fine with it being a single disc. Could also be a copyright/ royalties thing.

Easy street is half covers. It's not royalties or copyright .
