There’s a great video of Tom singing with Pavarotti (maybe the other two tenors too). Worth searching out of you’re into that genre.0

Never quite figured out what it's about. My sense is it's about...Well this for example. My wife and I have been watching an early 70's show called "The Streets of San Francisco". She's really taken by that show. I think I have a clue as to why that is...LOL! Nice!I saw Scott McKenzie play that song on campus at San Francisco State College about in 1969 or early 1970 years ago. Nice guy, fun song!Oh man, those were crazy reactionary times.Continuing the Scott McKenzie story... Scott played that song during an anti-Vietnam War rally on campus at San Francisco State in late 1969. After he finished the song, he started talking about the war and at one point, I suppose trying to mock those in favor of the war effort, said something like, "Yeah, we've gotta get over there and wipe out those damned stanty-eyed bastards." The rally had been set up and coordinated by a black activist group (it might have been the Black Panthers, but I don't remember for sure because there were other black groups at the time). So when Scott made that remarked, the stage was aggressively rushed by two or three very big guys from this black organization who looked like body guards. I thought McKenzie was going to get seriously hurt because they were on him in an instant. There was a lot of yelling and among all the ruckus I could hear McKenzie pleading, telling these guys he was joking, being ironic and he really was against the war and had no bias against southeast Asians. That must have a tough lesson for the singer about not using such terms even when joking. I felt badly for the guy. His intentions were meant to be supportive but he was hugely rattled. The whole vibe was ugly. The contrast of that innocent song about peace and love and the heavy, violent vibe on that stage was intense."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

How basic can we get here? Because I discovered sugar lip scrub. Got some from MAC. It's amazing!
