So Guns N Roses are touring Australia and NZ in November 2021.  Hopefully this means a PJ tour around that time too.
I assume they're banking on a trans-Tasman bubble to pull it off.  Or they could do a Crowded House and do a New Zealand Tour, which is kinda odd if you ask me.

PJ could do Auckland Wellington and Dunedin. Since live music is rare enough in general these days without shoving geographic isolation on top of it half the country would be keen on rocking out with both GnR and PJ. They may be able to book a quarantine hotel for family and crew if vaccines aren't universal but then they'd have to do the same for Aussie.

Sounds like summer 2021 is the earliest we could see concerts, but it might not be until fall 2021 (or later).  I'm guessing at best PJ plays their pre-existing shows (both Euro and postponed NA dates) in 2021.  Probably no new things until 2022?

    I agree.  I could certainly see them doing Aus/NZ in Jan/Feb 22.

Eddie indicated in this interview that Australia might be their choice to kick off a tour.  Who knows when though.

If they let professional tennis players in for the AUS open before actually allowing Aussie residents to come home, surely Pearl Jam can be an exception as well. With Aus and NZ numbers low as, then we are the tour for 2021....do Europe and other in 2022. Yeah, nah?

Guns N Roses are booked in to tour here in November and I've got tickets.  I'd prefer early 2022 if they come.

The best part of the interview is the interviewers high fiving each other at the end.  If anyone has pandemic fatigue watch that for a pick me up!

I would pick Australia too to start the tour. More safe down there then up here. You guy's got tougher rules & regulations.

Here they finally put a rule where if you travel you have to get tested at the airport for COVID-19 and be placed at the local hotel by the airport for 14 day's. For almost a year they didn't put this plan down at all. People continued to travel by air. Idiots!!! Stay the blazes home! Pretty much the majority of new cases each day coming in here are travel related. NOT community spread.

Jesus dude, they're letting the fucking WIGGLES in over here.  Surely Pearl Jam is a shoe-in.  It's not even the Wiggles classic line-up!

It's just such a house of cards especially with the more transmissible strains. The handful of community cases in Auckland show that it's such a bastard to contain. If PJ had shows here then a community outbreak happened that caused NZ to change alert levels then they would have to be canned. All that stuff which involves going along with a tour like trucks food lights etc would be too expensive to be put on hold for a wait and see scenario and no insurance company would take that risk on no matter how minimal. Sucks as Six60 have been playing stadiums here and I'd love going to such a gig for a band I loved instead (think their marketing team is amazing filling stadiums for such an average band IMO). What's crazier is that my girl and I went to Fenway 2 in 2018 and never would have guessed it'd be their last show to date in 2021.

Totally agree that early 2022 is very doable & 8 years since they were last here as well. They must be chomping at the bit to play again

Time to get this thread going again now that they are touring again.

Hoping for an early 2023 Australian tour.

By then it will be 9 whole years since they were here.

Yes it did and I got a refund for my Brisbane tickets.  I watched a few of their recent shows on youtube and decided that Axl sounds like crap now so changed my mind about going.

Plus espresso-based coffee lovers will be in paradise. NZ and Aussie are the best places in the world for this-hell you go to a random cafe in the middle of bumblefuck NZ that's basically a caffeine oasis in a farm and you'll get a world class flattie that's better than anything Blue Bottle has to offer. And I like Blue Bottle.

Havana Supreme and People's are my favourites. Mojo is generally inoffensive and Allpress is good. Most places use one of those-you do get great indies with their own though.

Not crapping on coffee in the US in general. You guys' strengths are in filter coffee for mine.

    Yes Italy I know...😉

I know.  I cancelled my 10 club membership at the end of 2022 and re-joined the 10 club the other day so haven't been visiting this forum.  $60 Aussie dollars now :open_mouth:    Hoping to see the official Australian tour announcement on here soon!

Any guesses on venues for AU/NZ? Another commenter said Heritage Stadium for GC.

For Auckland, Eden Park is taken for Coldplay/Pink (only 6 concerts per year). So I would assume it's Mt Smart  :| It could be Western Springs but I can't remember the last time a band did 2 nights there. 5AM Wednesday can't come soon enough!
