Chris Christie is everything that is bad about a politician rolled up into one big package. He gave the shaft to his staff and let them go to jail for his crime and he lets Trump treat him like shit will continuing to be his cheerleader.

Trump is the most afraid of running against Biden - there will be many attacks against him as they fear him for the general so they want to kill him in the primary process.

But, as a NJ resident, I can't express how much disdain I have for Christie.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a good word spoken about Christie.

    Heres some:

As a political pundit on ABC/CNN/MSNBC etc I think he comes with grounded and sane arguments and have the ability to see and argue for both sides of things. He doesn't come off as a party-first Trump stooge with the luying stupidity-spin of the ordinary Trump people and politicians like Jim Jordan, Lindsey Graham etc.

I would even say he gives me perspective on things. I don't want to smash in the TV when he talks on the news shows. Even though he has a mob-sleezy aura.

As a pundit. Not defending whatever he did to NJ as governor or if he's a trashy person in general.

Just goes to prove that there really is someone for everybody.

I haven’t ever watched him acting as a pundit as you describe. I don’t imagine I’d trust anything he says, given his history. He might be correct but I’m not going to put any stake in what he says.

We have a term for people like him in NJ which I'm sure I can't post.

It would be quicker but..he is slippery, rude, arrogant, snide, disrespectful, self aggrandizing, condescending, greedy, callous, corrupt and a liar.  He can sound reasonable when the cameras are rolling, that's his gig, but his words are meaningless. He yells at and demeans reporters and anyone  who happens to annoy him when he's done being a crappy pundit.

Patty, my sister, died during Bridgegate and it was pure luck that my Mom and I were sleeping at the hospice for a couple days because if she had died alone due to f*cken traffic, the grief and guilt would have been unimaginable.  Mom had just lost her second child and holding her hand at the moment she died helped because it haunted her that my brother died alone. But Christie's actions  affected us in other ways...

Her husband, especially, was extremely delayed getting to the hospice when we knew she was slipping away.  All highways converge where we live so there was no getting around it.  My Mom and I were alone with Patty for a very long time afterwards, with an increasingly antsy staff, but we made them leave her in her bed in her room until he got there. He was a wreck not being able to get to her in time, knowing she died while he sat in his car. And we had to deal with staff when we just wanted to grieve.

So not only does Christie suck as a human being, but I have personal reasons to think he is scum.  :rage:  :nuh_uh:

If it was part of that meme of him in the beach chair appearing in random places (my favorite was as a Parade balloon). I could live with adding him in a speedo to that meme.

I'm really tired of the "fair share" talking point.  State exactly what you mean regarding taxes and who is going to pay more.  This "fair share" crap is bullshit.

Beto announces massive spending for climate change...paid for by corporations and people paying their "fair share".  Please. I just know he is going to lump in the upper middle class with the crazy wealthy on this one.

Trump is spending a lot of time attacking Biden.  He's really pissed that the firefighter's union already endorsed Biden, after sitting out '16.

He attacks whomever he sees as the threat.  Tries to brand them immediately with nicknames and then people that follow trump just parrot that and don't listen.  Except he chose the wrong nickname for Creepy Joe so it won't work!

I don't think Trump thinks it through that much. Not saying he doesn't strike gold sometimes.

Makes no sense. Biden has plenty of energy. If Trump wants to nickname someone sleepy, he should be looking at Pence for the honour.

    Hahaha. This is amusing.

Anyway.....HUGE lead for Biden in new CNN poll. I really like how he is separating himself from the others by going directly at Trump. Makes him seem like the presumptive nominee. And Trump taking his bait the last few days makes Biden appear more presidential than Trump....as if that is hard to do.

The 17 candidates at 2% or less should drop out by or during the summer at some point. Have it be between Biden, Pete, Kamela, Betto and Warren heading into the fall. Nice mix of candidates there. Oh, shit. And Bernie, unfortunately.

If you put a poll out for burgers from mom and pop shops and a Big Mac is listed a majority will pick the Big Mac.  Biden is a Big Mac.

I think Biden is the only logical choice.  Any far left candidate will only appeal to blue strongholds and will chase middle state votes away.

And that's his strategy.  He is taking on Trump and going after swing voters (Big 10 union members) straight out of the gate.  He's not getting drawn into the progressive arguments.
