Disqualifying, not necessarily. It does hurt because it’s a new story that will drag up old stories and has potential to snowball.

Agreed. It could hurt if it’s a steady drumbeat and more accusations surface, even if they’re false. That and some of his votes back in the day will need some careful, consistent explaining. But hey, Team Trump Treason supporters should be “okay with it.”

Plus some of the images that have been circulated have been manipulated.  Photo shopping is going to continue to be a problem as far as delivering false reports.  For example:

I've been really inspired each time I've seen or heard Buttigieg speak. I particularly appreciate that he understood Maher's style enough to know not to give him a hook or dig himself into a hole. I think that'll translate really well in debates.

Just started watching Bookers townhall from this week. I’m not finished, but very impressed with what I’ve seen so far. Doesn’t come off as angry in the slightest. In fact, quite the opposite. Makes a very good case for running a positive forward looking campaign against Trump. If he doesn’t get the nomination, he should definitely be a strong pick for vp. We have so many quality candidates on the dem side, I’m starting to think we may be making a mistake with Biden. If Trump is going to be as tough to beat as people think, we might want to throw caution to the wind and take our chances with someone else. Who is the best candidate to bring new voters, minorities, and the youth to the polls?

He's going to punch, so we need someone that is willing to punch back and be straightforward.  Accuse him of being an adulterer, accuse him of being a terrible father, accuse him of running corrupt foundation, emoluments, everything.  Things we normally think of as being too direct, have to be stated.  And I'm not kidding about this, if he's a dick during the debate, challenge him to a fistfight.  Start a fight with the bully.  I know I would do that on the stage, if it called for it.

I'd love 10 minutes to beat the shit out that fat fuck.  We know he believes that your life is a battery, so he's soft, out of shape, fat and likely has a glass jaw.  God, that would be so great to jab, jab, punch.

But everyone knows that about Trump. I do understand the need to fight back. I think there are many ways to fight back, but telling people what they already know doesn’t seem smart.

I can understand that gut visceral feeling of wanting to punch the guy out, but the better, more effective way is to punch him out intellectually.  And when I say "intellectually", I don't mean like a snobbish, boorish intellectual.  I mean by being well spoken, in complete control of one's thoughts, words and body language.  I want somebody to go up against Trump who maintains a high degree of cool, smarts and class.  Trump will make himself look like a fool when matched up with someone like like that.  We need to stop pandering to the anti-intellectual dumb ass Americans.

Ah, I see you answered my question.  I don't think any of the other Republicans nor Hillary had all the right tools that way.  I'm not sure who does.  Maybe Jeff Bridges, but he's not a politician!

I definitely agree that was the Republican contenders, but the media and Hillary seemed to make it all about Trump and his lack of character Actually, Jeb went after Trump pretty hard during some of the debates and was embarrassingly ineffective. I honestly can’t remember one of Hillary’s policy proposals, I do remember her calling him Putin’s Puppet in a debate.

Obama wasn't a bully.  He didn't bully people on twitter and in person.  So to me, Trump is not like a POTUS, he's like a fucking bully that needs his ass kicked after school.  Your analogy doesn't work.  The POTUS is an office that deserves respect when that respect is earned.  He has done nothing to earn that respect.

And so if you want a comparative, I never wanted to punch Bush in the nose, or Cheney.  I disagreed vehemently with their policies on a host of issues, but Trump does not deserve the same respect.

That’s a tough one. I mean, Bush wouldn’t have kids locked up under a bridge in Texas, but the whole Iraq war and having to see bumper stickers that read:Marriage =one man one woman, for two years was annoying. Bush vs. Trump really needs it’s own thread, lol.

Even Obama was against gay marriage until sometime in '11 or '12 I think.  I don't know factually that W evolved, but I know his mother did as did his father, even going so far as being a signed witness at a gay marriage.  So I would really be surprised if W didn't change.

I’m willing to bet W. never actually cared, but used it as a divisive election issue. Obama can say what he wants, I think it wasn’t politically advantageous to be for gay marriage at the time. He faked right and went left.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I admired O'Bamas use of the Navy Seals.  They were utilized exceptionally to free Captain Philips and get Bin Laden without major conflict...and I believe no loss of US life or civilian life.
