This is getting ridiculous by now...i mean...its 2016 all over again with the cancelled european  tour due to the bataclan attack.

I LOVE TO NOT BE ABLE TO PLAN MY SUMMER
Welcome to the club ;) I'm waiting until Friday afternoon before giving up on this tour.

Like many people around here, I cannot delay my summer plans any further. The least of my concerns being a tour promoter wanting to cash in on their money by selling marketing hype and 'exclusiveness'... Oh well, let's see how this week unfolds :)

Not sure why everyone is jumping ship on this one. 2017 was announced Mar 6th. We are not even there yet.

Because the first shows this time around were announced already several weeks ago. We are left wondering if that was it, or will there be more. If it wasn't for the small hints provided by some kind individuals we'd be seriously WTF'ing here.

So people are giving up on the tour because a Who/EV show was announced earlier than shows were announced 2017?

Maybe people need to decide their vacation time at their jobs etc. Everyone can't come and go as they please at their place of work.

+ two festival appearances. If there were no rumours / hints floating around, I can understand how some would have lost hope.

There is no rule that tours are always announced on/around the same day each year.

I am not defending the choice to wait this long to announce the tour. I too find it annoying and tough on work/family life to make these tour trips happen. Still though we have a precedent in 2017 that did not announce until Mar 6th. If they are a week later than that this year are people here  really not going to make the trip?

Europe PJ tours have been pretty much bang on around the same time in December. 2012 and 2017 EV tours have been announced in the first 2 weeks of March. I think there is definitely a pattern there you can go by.

I still wonder whether there have been changes to the rumored schedule?

It just doesn‘t feel like the gap in announcement was planned. Especially with those strong rumors. I think The Who caused some changes in scheduling, definitely with announcements, maybe with gigs.

Dimi has been awfully quiet lately...did he let on more than he should’ve? although if anything had changed or cancelled he’d probably give us a little heads up.

It's possible they were waiting for Ohana to go on sale.  It's a fest that needs to sell tix too.

That‘s a different market. Who would consider a fest at the West Coast over here in Europe? Those die hard fans buy tickets anyway.

The 2017 tour started several weeks earlier than this rumoured tour would. I wouldn't be surprised if this takes another 2-3 weeks until it gets announced. Reading through the thread you would guess this is the first announcement this board ever saw. Jesus.

    Exactly. Full-on panic.

Well some of us are old enough to remember the goold old days of "early rejoicing" and most of us remember the 2016 tour that never was. It is not usual to announce 3 shows, then wait 6 weeks (or whatever) with no news. It is not panic, it is just getting annoyed.

It is absolutely usual for acts to announce festival dates first and then announce the full tour weeks or even months later. And "early rejoicing" or 2016 were about completely rumoured tours. There was nothing announced. Now we already have several gigs on the schedule. I get that people are annoyed about the delay but all this "I'm giving up on this tour" stuff is just ludicrous.
