Same thing. Hotel and flights sorted. Surprisingly affordable time of year.
flight was a bit expensive,240 euros.especially for raynair.but when u live in greece all are far away and expensive..
and is ev tour..so 1 show is ok for me..pj is different..cant do just one!
    Totally agree...
    1 EV show is enough.
He doesn't change the setlist up very much,
unless there are 2 back to back nights in the same city.
The PJ stats app doesn’t track EV solo but I can share this:

    1. Pilgrimage Festival 2017 was one night after Bourbon and Beyond.  The shows were within a 3 hour drive of each other.  Of 20 songs played at Pilgrimage, 9 had been played the night before and 11 had not.

    2. I’ve seen him a total of 4 times (all festivals), most recently just a couple weeks ago at Innings.  Of the 23 songs played at Innings, 7 had not been played at any of my previous 3 shows, 7 had been played at all of my previous shows, and the other 9 were either the second or third time out of four.

Everyone can decide for themselves what this means if it means anything at all.  Regardless of the number of uniques vs repeats, the shows are always great.
I'm curious, of the songs you were hearing for the first time, how many were covers?

Technically they all were but I’d divide it as 4 non-PJ and 3 PJ, giving last kiss the benefit of the doubt as a PJ song although technically it’s a cover when they play it.

No one said EV shows weren't GREAT...they are!!
You can use PJDB or setlist.fm to track your EV stats.
I've seen Ed solo show 3 times.
The first time was in Detroit in 2011.
The other 2 shows were back to back nights in Jacksonville.
All were in the theatre setting,
    none were festivals.
At these 3 shows I got:
15 songs at all 3 shows (close to 50% of the songs on the setlist)
18 songs repeated at Detroit & Jacksonville 1 (nearly 2/3rds of the set list)
18 songs repeated at Detroit & Jacksonville 2 (nearly 2/3rds of the set list)
and most of the "unique" songs I got at these shows were covers.
I'm not saying don't go to see Ed, but to me...
there's no real need to follow his tour around like we do for PJ,
especially at some of the prices I've seen posted for tickets.

Ed is fantastic live but I am good with seeing him once a tour.  To me there is no reason to see multiple shows as the setlists are pretty damn similar.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Given it’s (hopefully) going to be my first EV or PJ concert ever, I‘m trying for two nights... who knows if I ever get the chance to see PJ live so I‘m in the lottery for Berlin and Düsseldorf. Fingers crossed!

I am going to do my  2 shows in Taormina. Out of the 2 shows he averaged over 30.5 songs played each night. Lots of gems there too. If I had the time to do Firenze at a quick glance there were a lot more repeats but still some songs only played once. I am glad I went to all 3.

    Repeated songs (9)

Since it's your first time doing the lottery, just a reminder:
You will be charged for all those selections, and you will not be able to sell the tickets unless you pick them up from the venue.
Just a heads up, because I know in the past, people have put a lot of selections not realising this, and the couldn't attend all the shows.

Had a whole EU trip planned for the beginning of July, so this is perfect for me.
Just extended it out to make sure I can hit the Dublin and Wembly/Who shows.
15 days....Paris, Dublin, London, Amsterdam, Manchester...2 Eddie shows.
    Gonna be badass.  Can't wait!

I hear youbut love going too his shows i went to 2008 Chicago ,2009 Philly 2009 Bailtimore,2011 St Louis wish i could have gone to more same with 2010 Columbus Ohio Brad show and the 2012, 2016 Chiicago Il.  RNDM shows and my 2013 SoundGarden Show and 2011 Tres Mtns ,i wish i had gone to more ,becuse they dont hap9en often and or they are OTOTOs
I love going to Ed's shows too!!
If there is a US tour announced later this year,
and a show is scheduled in our area...I'll definitely be there,
but one show per tour is enough for me.
I guess I've just heard plenty of his solo material,
and his shows don't change enough to warrant hitting multiple shows per tour.

Have everything booked for Dublin, plane and hotel, but need 3 tickets for me my wife and daughter, should be able to aply for 3 tickets but since not possible hope I get them in general sale :)
  • Just booked the flight to Madrid, to compliment the 2 Italian shows =) some crazy prices going on though, booking with Ryanair had cheap seats but no bags allowed, EasyJet had times at stupid o ‘clock but from Luton only..so had a nosey on lastminute.com and found the same Ryanair flights from Manchester with 2 nights hotel in the centre of Madrid for £140 all in, bargain indeed, a nice way to relax after spending 3 weeks in Thailand and Vietnam is to go and see Ed in Europe a week later  ;) roll on summer

Sorry to ask a question that might have been asked many times before, but can you please tell me how to see the odds?
I've entered 2 priorities for 2 nights and I can't seem to be able to find a way to see the odds. Even after reading through the instructions...

  • Looking for Ticket Buddies for Amsterdam both nights, Brussels and Dublin. I'll be traveling solo so if all goes well with the lottery I'll have a spare ticket for each of those four shows. Is anyone interested?
