I’m into the third episode of Tin Star. It’s good, not great.

And it probably doesn’t help that I see Paul Reiser every time Tim Roth is in a scene.

I loved Tin Star.  Also, I really enjoy Tim Roth....no Reiser confusion there!

The love he receives is the love that is saved

The Expanse is letting me down in Season 5.   What a drag.  Like watching a football game.  The vast majority of the episodes nothing is happening.  Expect it to pick back up in Season 6.

@bootlegger10  Yeah, the slower pace is . . . annoying.  I can’t help but think that if they weren’t releasing them weekly it wouldn’t be quite so painfully slow. The shorter seasons also don’t help. Ten episodes?!? WtAF?  The last episode of this season is next week.

I do love getting lots of Amos though.

After episode 9 I was racking my brain to figure out what happened during that episode.  I know Amos and his crew accomplished something but that was about it.  Kinda strange.

A couple friends are waiting to binge watch the latest season and I'm curious as to their perspective on it.

I think this book would have been a real challenge to adapt for compelling episodic tv.  With everyone spread out through the solar system, there isn’t much interaction between the core characters.  In the book there is so much inner dialogue, especially for Naomi.

Let me know what your friends thought after the binge.  I’m going to binge rewatch this weekend I think, see if it’s a better overall flow without having to wait a week between shows.

I did enjoy having a new episode to watch each week.  Something to look forward to.

Season 5  to me was like the 5th book. You need it to move the pieces in place for what happens in the 6th season/book and the war between Marco and Earth.

The finale teased some things I did not think they were going to get into however. Curious to see how that plays out.

I figured it was just a bridge to the next season.  Last episode finally moved the plot forward.

All seasons of The Affair are finally available. Caught the first season in Dec/Jan when they teased season 1 as free to entice a subscription to Showtime through Prime. A few episodes in to season 2 and still enjoying it. The cast is what makes it great. Love to see former Wire stars. Dominic West is really good at playing a philandering womanizer who is self absorbed. His character could basically be Jimmy McNulty became a writer after leaving the force.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Lately, I've found that Prime Video has more music documentaries that interest me. Just watched one on The Gits and Mia Zapata.

Take Me Home documentary about Leeds United and them trying to get back to the Premier League is fantastic.  Even if you're not into soccer, the story is incredible.  The passion from the fans is just awesome.  Definitely worth checking out.

I saw that one. It was really good. Also, really sad.

I agree on both counts. It was a terrible tragedy. I got a little choked up when her father was talking about her. I knew of her story because of the Home Alive compilation, but I hadn't really heard much of their music. It was a good introduction to their sound. I didn't realize that they caught the guy. I thought it was still an unsolved case.
