Yep. 2 is awesome but can’t top 1.

I Fucking love the backstory in 2 and I am a huge fan of what Michael became (as a fictional story) buuuuuut, marlon Brando, sollozo/mcclusky, Sonny, youger Hagen, etc. is waaaaaaaaay better than anything Cuba and Roth

Spot on. Cuba gets a little bit old and Fredo has too much of a role in 2. It’s really nit picking though because overall it’s in my top 10 all time movies. Don Fanucci, young Clemenza...I love that part of the film

When people say I haven’t seen The Godfather either?...That’s like saying I haven’t read Harry potter but I haven’t read Farewell to arms either
So, what you're saying is that some people just don't read.

    Guys... come on.

I was in grade 10 when Scarface came out. Me and my buds all watched in on VHS. We loved it.

For the standard at the time... it was awesome. It maybe hasn't aged fantastically, but if I'm ever settling down on the couch looking for some television to wash away my thoughts... and the movie is on... I'll comfortably settle in.

Some movies are like 'comfort food'. Starship Troopers, Goodfellas (watched it the other night), the Godfathers, Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Alien, and a bunch of others just make me at peace.
Fucking a. Gladiator has been on a bunch recently.

anyone who puts godfather in the same boat as Scarface can get gone, and as stated, I love Scarface
Wait....you think Scarface is better than The Godfather?  Or, worse?
Don’t be dumb. I said Scarface is the best bad movie
    Gotcha.

    Thank you.  ;)

Are we talking a severed dick or one still attached to a person?

Details like this are important so that we know the kind of sick fuck with which we’re dealing.

    Vodka posts.
I like GFII better than GFI for specific sections.  (Agree that on the whole the first movie is better, I just like some parts of 2 so much)
I much prefer the roll-up of both movies into the chronological order.
    Have you seen that presentation?

Greatest "christmas" movie of all time: die hard.
    Watch some of these videos.

Top Christmas Movies was addressed in the Top 5 Movies thread, I believe.

    My listing:
    5) Scrooged
    4)  A Christmas Story
    2)  Lethal Weapon (if you are taking Die Hard, I am taking "All Dressed Up and No One to Blow" Lethal Weapon as a X-Mas movie)
    2)  Bad Santa
    1)  Elf

When I think of Scarface I automatically think of every douchebag rapper or athlete that was on MTV Cribs...  ALWAYS had to show you the Scarface poster in their house.  Was that a requirement to have to get on the show?

Back to thread integrity, my teenage self would have said, "Hell yes, Scarface is awesome!" 20 years later, meh, it's pointless schlock. I'd probably laugh more at the stupidity of it now if I were to force myself to waste 3 hours. The closest I've come to seeing it since college is the scene from Breaking Bad where newly minted kingpin Walt is watching it with his son and infant daughter while Skyler looks on in horror realizing who he has become.
