    If we can't solve the problem of China collecting and minding our data for use it techno-warfare in the future, I also say let the people have it.   They do enjoy it so yeah that line of thinking totally checks out.  We wouldn't want the kids to be a little sad that they have to go to one of the plentiful other options.

    That's what happens when one of his biggest donors, Jeffrey Yass, owns 8% of Bytedance.  I'm sure the fact that he came out against the ban right after a meeting with Yass is just a coincidence.

    Yeah well it's a bullshit argument.  For us to agree to let TIKTOK operate here and X in China is great for Elon but not so much for American security.  That doesn't solve the problem.  Musk is acting like it's a "fairness" issue.  Fuck fair.
