I know some some conservatives who don't like Trump, too, but when you look at the party going all-in on this, it's hard to imagine that a critical mass is outraged by this when nobody in power dare question him (which indicates that they know the GOP voters will not stand for such behavior).

Law enforcement cannot begin an investigation with the ends in mind. They have to follow the evidence where it takes them. They can't say this guy is definitely a Trump supporter so that's who we are looking for. They need to leave all options open. Nothing wrong with waiting for law enforcement to catch the real bomber before we have a profile of him that we've assumed. I find nothing rosy about what is going on in our country. I don't know why you are disagreeing with me when we are in agreement. There are many Republicans who are not in power at the moment, who are in media or who I know that have been outraged by this President from the beginning and many of them have given up their political affiliation. There are also ones in the media and in power who have not spoken up and fallen in line - that is exactly what I wrote in my post. Those people infuriate me. But there are many ex-Repubs that have been battling this President from the get go. So let's call out the people who should be called out.
And the FBI and police departments and postal workers of this country need a serious thank you from all of us. The President won't give it to them but they deserve praise for doing a great job while being vilified.
That seems like a rosy view. It seems that Trump did not become a Republican but the GOP became Trump. I know some some conservatives who don't like Trump, too, but when you look at the party going all-in on this, it's hard to imagine that a critical mass is outraged by this when nobody in power dare question him (which indicates that they know the GOP voters will not stand for such behavior).
This party is all-in (or at least 90% in). It's his party. And it remains the only party that matters at this point.
My gut tells me that the repubs' own internal polling showed that he was the only one who could beat Hillary out of the field of 19. However, it was so close, within the margin of error, that they couldn't take any chances, hence the knowing collusion with putin on the ritz. Once their internal polling showed them that this was their only chance to win and prevent Hillary from occupying the White House, they basically stepped aside. Do you really think none of the other candidates' campaigns didn't have opposition research showing what we all now know? Doesn't it seem oddly suspicious that none of them came after him for his failures, both personally and in the business world? It was a wink- wink, nod-nod marriage of convenience, never fully realizing what they'd done. But since we're here, hey, tax breaks for the wealthy and conservative judges all-around. Its not about him, its about the leaders of his political beliefs (as he is clearly a maga man) and their inability to grasp that everyone can hear their words of hatred, even the crazy people. Its not just trump, they used words of personal hatred against obama in 2008.
