The only thing these albums have in common are that they are my favorite artists.  These albums make up a huge part of my life.
No Rattle & Hum on your initial list?
Hmmmmm, seems like I messed up. Forgot about rattle and hum being in between the two. Solid album for sure.
I thought about that but picked it anyway. Actually U2 was great from Boy-October-War-The Unforgettable Fire-Joshua Tree-Rattle & Hum. After that, I started to lose interest. Angel of Harlem is one of my favorite U2 songs.

I think R&H would have been better if they separated the studio tracks from the live ones - too much of a "mish mash" as it is. In any event, I would put JT and AB in my top ten list for sure. Great, great albums.

Siamese Dream -----> Mellon Collie & Infinate Sadness
I'd go with the second one over the first. Gish doesn't have enough for me (although MCIS may have too much!)

    Siamese Dream is a masterpiece.

    Agreed!

Although there are some who list The Bends and OKC, instead.

Not even the 1990's stuff??? The Bends is usually a good starting point for a nineties-rocker like yourself (and me)!

    Same with Angel!

When they started playing it two shows ago in Vancouver... I was ecstatic!

One mare pair definitely makes the one-two cut:

Of the choices listed, PJ, U2, & DMB would be my top 3.  Not sure which order but they are all great 1-2 punches.  I kind of agree with Rattle & Hum being too much of a mish-mash in between to really be considered a true album (even though it is great).

    Some other good back-to-back homers:

Nice pick, that is tough to beat.  Axis is (for my money) one of the best records ever made.  Putting the cans on and dropping the needle for Axis still is exciting, to me.

    That's tough. I'd go with No Code/Yield.
If that had been the PJ option, I would have chosen it.

I also think that the poll is lacking because of no Led Zeppelin option! :)

Mine would be On The Beach/Tonight's The Night by Neil Young.

I'd argue that Vs. packs as good or better a 1-2 punch w/ Vitalogy than it does w/ Ten :coffee:

A few other 1-2s to add to those already mentioned:
Public Enemy: ITANOMTHUB ---> Fear of a Black Planet
The Black Crowes: SHAMC ---> Amorica
The National: High Violet ---> Trouble Will Find Me
Jason Isbell: Southeastern ---> Something More Than Free
Rolling Stones: pick 'em...Beggars/Let It Bleed/Sticky/Exile
Radiohead: Ok Computer ---> Kid A

I guess not quite half. Going Mobile, My Wife, The Song Is Over and Love Ain’t For Keeping just don’t stack up to the rest of the album.
