Not a fan of them doing that at all. After seeing Gilmour live a few times, there's only one man that should ever play that solo, as much as I love Mike. I'm much rather hear them play Mother, if they want to cover Pink Floyd.

    I'd like a third option...

You see, having not seen it yet I have read so many comments about how Mike owns that solo and that he absolutely tears it up. I need to see that.

Mother I was lucky to catch a few times before and Ed sang it so perfectly for me. I loved that.

Having been lucky to see both Gilmour play the track, with the Floyd line up, I realise the task at hand, but im relying on the bootlegs Ive heard and the various comments about how well PJ nail this - so do really really want to hear it

They do a decent job on it, it's just not for me at all. Doesn't suit Eddie's vocal to do both the vocal parts, and Gilmour is such a different style of guitarist to Mike. I hate hearing anyone else playing that solo, after seeing Gilmour. Just my own view on it! :)

PJ gigs are special and I'd much rather hear them do a deep cut of their own than throw C-Numb in there. Or even play Sonic Reducer or Fuckin' Up if they want to cover something!

I want You Are, they played it at every other show this tour, except not at any of the 5 shows I was actually at!

    Damn
that is a pretty great list of requests there. Add in breath and I don't think I would have the mental capacity to handle the awesomeness :rock_on:

Not a fan of them doing that at all. After seeing Gilmour live a few times, there's only one man that should ever play that solo, as much as I love Mike. I'm much rather hear them play Mother, if they want to cover Pink Floyd.
At Krakow they did a superb version of this - mike's solo was great and the krakow crowd sang their hearts out to it. IMO they did Pink Floyd proud

I agree,  I'm not actually a fan of the song itself but loved the Krakow performance

Not quite a parent, but our family pet Charlie had to be put down yesterday, it was one of the saddest days of my life. We'd love to hear Release, Man of the Hour, Light Years or The End.
