Desperation from the dying right. The republican party is like a boxer who you know is going to go down any minute now. They flail away at the air in a desperate attempt to stay on their feet.
Here's an example: Trump's rating managed somehow to inch up one percent after his summit with Putin and yet it still remains the lowest of any modern president. So even at his best, he's still the worst. It's a joke.

There have been several recent articles from Republicans urging to vote Democratic in November (as voting Rep, is voting Trump, is voting for corruption etc.). Have any Dems written similar pieces about voting with Trump?
Also, those that have walked away are they like Kim Davis, who was life-long Democratic party member, but surely never voted against a bigoted Repuplican candidate in her life?
Has everyone walked away yet? I think it would be a lot better for our entire political system if party affiliation didn't matter so much and everyone actually just considered the merits of each individual candidate. While I may have a very hard time finding a republican I would back these days, I am also not just going to check boxes on the dem side either. This "movement" is about as dumb as it gets because people "walk away" from a certain political party all the time and I would guess that more people are walking away from the republicans right now than dems.
It's a hopeless situation...

Good comments, T, and considering what you say here, I wonder how many people are walking away from politics in general? How many people actually show up at the voting booth, even in states where it's as easy as dropping a ballot in the mail? Not that simply voting makes things better, of course, because a lot of people who do vote don't know more than what their Facebook feed tells them about candidates and issues. We surely must be at an all-time low as far as government by the people, for the people and all that.

The US will have to change its entire system of government before this happens. The US would be way better off under a parliamentary system IMO. That's the only way to get out from under this 2-party shit show it currently has going on.

Finally something I agree with you on ! Two party system is a sham that keeps everyone in line by pitting each side against each other like a team sport.

Well I'll be dipped, (I like to pull those old-fashioned saying out of the hat for a little nostalgia now and then!) I'm with you on this as well!

Now on an all together different subject (I know, that never happens here, lol) I'll tell you something intertesting, OnWis. Whenever I see your avatar and username, the first things I see are a) an owl doorknocker in your photo and b) the words "wise owl" in your user name. Now see, getting old and bleary eyed can be fun!

I just noticed the first part. I typed that a long time ago in a cynical rant and didn’t post it. Did not realize until now that it was posted, rendering the second, mildly-amusing post a wacko accomplice to an unhinged rant.

^^^he's the head of propaganda pushing right wing organization called Turning Point USA. He's Candace Owens' boss. His tweet are equally asinine and ignorant. Just thought I'd make the trolls aware.

Ahhh, that would have helped on the first post as I’m not as well read as I think I am. I don’t know all the Team Trump Treason twitter trolls, or 5T, as I probably should. What’s that saying, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer?” And, “know thy enemy.”
