I think BLB is talking about the ultra football (soccer for our American cousins) hooligans, well known at away games across Europe.

yes football (soccer) hooligans but they are organised and well known, Lazio and Roma both play at that stadium and security tend to let them police their own areas
I was once in Amsterdam and out of central staition about 200 ultra s came and took over everything. We all just got the fuck out. Really hard core hooligans

I'm fine with bringing back reserved seating only if it was random, not just a few rows.
I know this won't go over well with the members who have low numbers but it would be the fairest way, IMO.
i have a low number and would be 100% fine with this.
conversely i have a medium to high number and am still for the reserved floor. keep the 1,2,9,10 lottos for "hope" i enjoyed myself more in fenway from farther away in 16 than i did in that (packed) pit in wrigley. people get way too territorial in ga, it can give off a wierd vibe at times.
So we're gonna change a whole system because of 5 idiots? It's only a small group creating this BS. From now on, if they try their list again photograph them. Then report to security / TC.

ive never actually been to a match in rome but elsewhere they tend to target the opposition so id imagine you will be fine, especially if its not a big game, they will all be in one area behind the goal just make sure your in one of the other stands and I doubt you will have any bother
My personal advice for those who want to be near the stage in Europe:
If it is not important for you to be in the first 5 rows IN FRONT of Ed then go and enjoy the city and come to the venue at 7 pm and you will have a beautiful spot on Mikes or Stones side very close to the stage. Or, like I do, you would like to dance and party..you will find enough space a few meters back center stage! There is no pushing just happy faces all around you who hug each other without knowing each other just because of the music and the magic PJ brings to us.
If you want to be up front center stage..come very early in the morning.. You will for sure make friends with others and there will be no problem to take your bathroom time, get some food and drinks and get your tickets.

Good to see TC finally clamping down on this. Like scapling and poster flipping, this should be frowned upon (and is). Hopefully with the power of social media, it should be easy to identify the few bad eggs that ruin it for everyone, and revoke their membership and tickets.

Here’s what witnessed at Padova and Rome. We picked up our 10c tickets at 2pm, no line so that was great. We went round to early entry knowing that we would be joining a line. When we got to it there was about 100 in the line sitting down. We joined it but was told “you need to put your name on a list”. We went to the front and a guy was standing handing a clipboard to people to put their names down. We looked at it and it was at 460! We asked where are all these people? He said they were here 2 hours ago and at 4 o’clock he would start calling out the names for people to join the line. What a load of rubbish! So these people turned up, put there name down and then headed off for food or drinks knowing they had a place! In Rome we arrived after picking our tickets up and the line was about 100 people again. This time we heard that it was only the first 100 that had their names taken. Again no one could answer who was organising it. The sad thing about all this is that it always seems to be the same crowd on the rail. Eddie always comments how great it is to see the same faces but there’s a reason why. In Rome when the camera was on the rail we could see the same faces that were on the rail in Padova. Now that’s no coincidence. I want to enjoy the experience of following the band but the blood boils when you see The protectiveness of these people who are hell bent on getting their place on the rail.

Maybe I can explain some of the questions asked here. I was in Rome in the line and without number. The night before, the just released TC mail was discussed the people who slept in the tents before. They decided to use the numbers for the night and make role calls all three hours (everyone has to show up or he was out). From 5 in the morning the queing should start and the number system not valid anymore. That sounded pretty fair to me as I don`t expect anyone to queue up in the night before 5 am. Then I went home. When we arrived in the morning (round about 9 am), two guys with the list showed up and asked if we want to add our names. After I asked why we still use this numbering system they said that we don`t have to use the numbers and should just keep the guys before and behind us in mind, no problem. I saw over the day that more and more people started writing numbers on their hands but no list, no number calls were done. I heard that also someone from TenClub was around having a look at the situation. Problems appeared when the row was shifted more towards the entrance. Round about 3 pm the bold tatood guy showed up and started "organizing" the queue by numbers. Few people were expelled as they did not have numbers (I haven`t seen that but some poeple told me). When it was our turn, I started discussing with him. He explained me that he read the TC email carefully and that I understood it wrong. TC was saying that they do not have system for queues and that they cannot give recommendations how queing should be done. TC would on the other hand appreciate it if this is organized by the fans and that they use the numbers to make everything easier. We did a mistake that we were not using the number system so we had to go to the end of the queue. After I told him that the TC mails are clearly not allowing the numbering system and that it is forbidden, he called me a liar and asked if I think that all the other people that used it are stupid. We discussed for several minutes but I said that I (or my friends) would definetly not leave the line. It was also good that three (I was surprised that the rest did not say anything) people confirmed that we were waiting in the queue right in the position were we stood. After like ten minutes I just turned around and did not speak with him any more and somewhen he gave up. Security did not care and said nothing. I saw them high fiving and chatting the guys during the time we queued up and it looks like they were friends anyway. Also, when they started this numbering thing again they "found out" that there was a mistake in the list and 20 people were missing and had to come to the front of the queue. I was told that these were there friends but cannort confirm it as I haven`t looked at the people entering. All these guys who did the numbering system were 1st line during the shows (Padova and Rome). Also haven`t seen them waiting the whole time waiting before the stadions like we did for both days (I was told many were in their cars waiting, sleeping....). The trick how they organize it is to be aggressive and they especially like to switch to italian so that 90% of the waiting people cannot follow what they say. I heard that some of the people spoke with each other round about noon that they`ll go home now and show up again when the queue starts (as it was written already several times before).
There is a guy who does this and sleeps in his car . Did it in Vienna and I had a verbal fight with him . I know who he is. Don t know his name on here. But I know who he is

I am sorry that you all have to deal with this. Making other people have less fun so that you can be selfish is just wrong.
Sure this guy will get his at some point. You don't make a habit of stepping all over people and avoid running into someone who is going to take you to task for it, eventually. (At least here that would be the case.)
