Kicked off last night at the HOB in Boston. Say what you will about the band post Layne, these guys can still bring it!!! Place was packed, great crowd. They may not play 3 hour, 30+ song shows like some bands, but a nice spaced out set list. Seen them 3x with Layne, 3x without, still a solid live band. Looking forward to the new album, all though it was nice to see them when they are not promoting anything.

Too bad they're playing an amusement park here in Sweden, and not the one of the two that fit best for music. ZZZ. And in the middle of the week too.

Glorified karaoke. If a lead singer goes, so should the band. Or at least separate yourself from all old material.

Except Cantrell is the exception: shared vocals, major writer, and great guitar player.

Lol, they promoted the last album by only playing 3 songs off of it.  I can't see myself seeing them again when they play the same setlists and can't be bothered to play new songs after they release an album.

That said, I am cautiously optimistic about the new album.

Never got to see them back in the day, so I jumped at the chance to grab a ticket for the show in Tucson in September; second row center! I know it won’t be exactly the same, but I’m still pumped. Love the look of this setlist.

I'd me more interested if they delved into the new albums instead of relying on the "nostalgia act" setlist.

  • I hear what you guys are saying, but that older music is awesome and hearing it live always makes me go home and listen to it again for long stretches of time.

Agreed. When they played Them Bones and Damn That River, thought for a second they were going to play Dirt all the way through.

I’ve seen them twice over the past couple years and they put on a really good show. Longshot, but i’d love to see them play Rotten Apple.

Me too, next week in Atlanta! Never seen them before.. I was supposed to see them at a Metallica/AIC/Suicidal Tendencies show wayyy back in '94 and they bailed out the day of the show. We got Candlebox as a last minute replacement.... nothing against Candlebox but damn...would have been nice. Anyways.. Jerry Cantrell is a legend and it will be really neat to see him and oh yeah.. Walking Papers are the opening act! Smaller venue, Hell Yesss!! Makes for a decent Thursday evening ;)

A band should be able to do with their band whatever they want!  After all it is their band!!

AIC is still putting out some fucking great music. I was lukewarm on Black Gives Way to Blue, but loved the last album and can't wait for the next one.
