klon overdrive pedals....worth it?  There's a lot of hype around them.   just ordered a mxr analog delay pedal.  :)
JHS Notaklon is pretty cool. You get to put it together yourself, which is easy but an interesting novelty.  My daughter colored it as well lol.

yes this one is great. it has the shamrock mod so you can play it like a stock klon or engage the mod to give it a little more oomph like the jhs version. good stuff.

  • Based on the posts above, I'm thinking maybe I should move the 1991 to right before the SansAmp. What do you guys think?

Two new pedals will be coming this week which will make ten total. I feel like I now need a pedal Board.  Any recommendations ? Thanks

depends on how you want to run the 1991. if you want it to be heavier drive put it last in your chain of drives. you do have a turbo distortion though. my experience would tell me to put that last in the chain of drives since it is a distortion pedal. your other two drives are overdrive pedals. i typically would not want to run a distortion circuit into one or two overdrives, but that is just my opinion based on my setup.

i would tinker around with the order of your drives and see what you like. if you stack them they will all sound different depending on what is running into what.

Pedaltrain boards have been my go-to for years. Available in whatever size you want and there is room underneath to route cables and power supplies and stuff.

Reverb usually has used ones for good deals.

I went cheap and chose a board from Donner.  Has been working nicely for me.

i've got a holy board i use for my practice setup. works pretty well, and i can't expand it any more unless i buy another extension, which tells me i have too many pedals on there, haha

I also like it because you can either use zip ties or Velcro. It’s kinda nice to have the zip option to move things around easily without all the Velcro until you’re ready for a long term setup

I have a small Donner for my practice board. It does the trick for sure. It was my first board until I bought too many f’ing pedals!

by the time you do that then it is time to add another pedal and you have to move everything around again haha

did you all see this came out today? collaboration with analogman and chase bliss. cool idea, but too much pedal for me. too many knobs and switches. i have a real king of tone, otherwise i would be looking at this pedal because it will be readily available with no 6 year wait times for a new one. plus it is less expensive than what i paid for my used king of tone.

i do not like the demo video. the guy is a great player but he basically just noodles around. i think he needed to play some riffs and also see how it sits in a mix with other instruments.

Looks very cool but I have several overdrives already.  I'd rather buy a Duke of Tone (or two) and save some money.

I love that Soul Food pedal!  Keep us posted on what settings you like. I’ve ended up turning the drive down, treble around 11:00 and leaving it on all the time for an overall “warmer” tone.

i love that carbon copy too. it is so simple and sounds so good.  i love the darker tones of analog delay pedals.
