Lets hope for 1 poster for each show rather than 5...we can save money by not needing to buy 5...ha.MLPS: 6-30-98 ; East Troy: 10-8-00 ; St. Paul: 6-16-03 ; East Troy: 6-21-03 ; Camden: 7-5-03 ; Grand Rapids: 10-3-04 ; Thunder Bay: 9-9-05 ; East Rutherford: 6-1-06; East Rutherford: 6-3-06 ; St. Paul: 6-26-06 ; St. Paul: 6-27-06, Chicago 8/23/09, Chicago 8/24/09, EV MLPS 7-2-11, PJ20 Alpine Valley 9-3-11, PJ20 Alpine Valley 9-4-11; Wrigley 7-19-13, St Paul 10-19-14; Wrigley 8-22-16; Seattle 8-8-18, Seattle 8-10-18; EV NY 2-4-220

I have to say I was pretty shocked to see a $275 sticker price for a pair in Missoula, when I paid $110 a pair for the inside show in Missoula only back in 2012. Well more than double.0

Nobody is saying prices shouldn't go up as the years go on. And most agree that these are, at the very least, fair prices when compared to other large acts. But the huge jumps over the past few years is what is alarming people. And as somebody pointed out, throw in your $20 - $40 membership fee as part of the cost of doing business with PJ tours these days too. It's their claim that they were different that starts to ring hollow. I just wonder if they cringe with their sanctimonious statements from the 90's about being all about the little guy/average fans. They weren't bashful about staking their claim to the moral high ground. The videos and statements still exist. I'm sure they can provide plenty of reasons for the change of tune... but they don't have to. The fans that accept zero criticism of this band does it for them.
You can compare it to what other acts charge, but I wouldn't pay $300 to see Paul McCartney (saw him for $35 25 years ago and it was just ok), $800 to see the Stones (fuck 'em), or whatever Taylor Swift charges. I saw U2 last year and decided I was only going to go if I got GA for $90... wasn't gonna pay $150-300 to sit on the sides of a football stadium... I just boycott that. The most expensive concerts I've ever gone to have been around $110 (Rush, Soundgarden/NIN) and they were for great seats... not saying GA isn't a great seat but Rush I was in the 15th row or something and Soundgarden I was in 4th row (and I hate NIN, was only going for SG)... So now to have a new most expensive ticket, and I go to a lot of concerts, and it is PEARL JAM, is just a little weird. We all know they COULD charge more... but it's PEARL JAM.
They are gonna be just fine financially you guys. Don't worry. Even after paying for stadium rentals, ticketmaster, crew, trucks, etc. Don't worry. I would not be surprised at all that they are really figuring supply and demand... higher prices, lower demand. Keep out the casual concert goers so more dedicated fan club members get tickets.ABQ 93, Las Cruces 95, ABQ 98, Bridge School 10/30/99, Lubbock 00, ABQ 00, Denver 03, State College 03, San Diego 03, Vegas 03, PHX 03, D.C. 03, Camden 7/5/03, NYC 7/8/03 + 7/9/03, Vegas 06, San Francisco 7/15/06 + 7/16/06 + 7/18/06, Kansas City 10, [EV:ABQ 11/6/12], Chicago 13, PHX 13, Denver 14--PJ24!, Telluride 16, Chicago 8/20/16, Chicago 8/18/18, Phoenix 22, Denver 22, Vegas 5/16/24

I will tell you one damn thing.... these boards get way more exciting around tour time.
I do feel bad for the people that will be in nosebleeds. it isn't worth it.
if I were a 10club with a bad number, I would go GA in the lottery or try thru general onsale.

I just paid $200 a ticket to see Hamilton in Seattle. Avg ticket price to a concert in 2017 was $85. This is an above average band.0

Most artists have been raising their ticket prices as they get older. Sure, PJ has joined-in, but at least they haven't gone as high as some other acts who charge over $200.0

Also have to say i don't do alot of other bands shows unless they are playing smaller venues but i only attend tops two to three shows a yr if that , so when this band does such shows like these i don't mind paying the price it's funny eveybody here has been crying for shows shows so now they are here and now the price doesn't fit your budget i get it and people have to stop comparing this band with others who tour way more & do more shows each yr like Phish it all comes down to supply & demand ...This band has spoiled us bands like U2 will do 60 plus shows and they charge more per ticket and guess what they sell out everywhere ...jesus greets me looks just like me ....0

The only way I’m going to go for tickets if I decide to will be GA. My member # isn’t horrible, but the only way this tour is worth it to me for flight/tickets (and I don’t even have to pay for a hotel) is if I’m standing in the pit going ape shit crazy. If I don’t score GA then I’ll be happy saving the cash.I'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -
I thought I had enough in my account, but I have to add this year. All being said Pearl Jam shows have always been worth every dime. Has anyone here ever walked out after a show saying "that sucked I want my money back" LOL. Every show I've been to has been another great memory. Thanks to Ten Club we are able to get the best seats for a lot less than other shows I've been at with bad seating. As far as how they treat their fans, tell me what other fan club gives you what we get for $40.00 a year? The tee shirt alone makes up for that cost, and how many other fans have a pile of 45 vinal records, not to mention they really do give to the charity's usually in our Ten Clubs name. I'm also a wishlist member, I give what I can. Thanks to Mike for the Crohns Foundation I've gotten more out of that then my doctors who get $300 per 15 min visit. People don't look at the big picture.
PLEASE SUPPORT THE CROHNS FOUNDATION WE CAN USE WHATEVER YOU CAN SPARE0 -

right on, guys. my number is good so I don't mind paying the prices. just don't see how people would pony up for that much $ to watch from the grandstands. Boston is the best bet for us old timers. I was in Wrigley in 2016. had good seats but the GA pit was so big that I ended up watching the monitors for the most part. One thing I can say is that the sound was excellent!livefootsteps.org/user/?usr=446

Not to compare apples and oranges but I live in Toronto. To see the Maple Leafs play it would cost $100 to stand and watch In the nosebleads. This is a team who hasn’t won a cup in 50 years. All I hear is complaining about ticket prices......bla bla bla. Nobody has a gun to your head...don’t buy them. Everything goes up. Face the facts, shows and albums are going to be far and few between. They are getting older. Do you really think these few shows are going to put that much more money in their pockets? If they really were doing it for the cash they’d have 30 shows this year for a whole north american tour. Not 5. Go, don’t go, nobody cares. Listening to this crap makes me want to quit being part of this forum. For the ones who think Pearl Jam is capitalizing on their fans believe what you want but your killing the whole vibe of going to see them. Maybe one day they will call it quits and aren’t you going to wish you spent that extra $30 to see them one last time? If I could I’d close this discussion.Post edited by jpdannabelle on...........and Evelyn ❤️0

I think it will be interesting to see whether Safeco Field is full for the shows. I assume the goal is to have a packed house and to raise as much money as possible for the cause. These have the potential to be really memorable and meaningful shows, and I really hope the ticket price doesn't keep people away. It would be a shame if the Home Shows are played to a half-empty baseball stadium. Seattle has obviously become quite a wealthy city, so the stadium might very well fill up. But if it turns out that they made a mistake and priced the tickets too high, they'll learn from it for next time. Not the end of the world.
If only there were a way to raise awareness about the band and their great music that would coincide with the timing of the shows...
