This was my first year at the Gorge, but my wife doesn't camp, so we stayed in Moses Lake. Worked out pretty well since we did a bunch of wine tastings during the day and were feeling fine before the shows even started. It was in the 90s all 3 days, but after the sun sets it cools down. I think I put a hoodie on the last night towards the end.
I was also concerned about snakes and whatnot since I have no experience with such things back home, but I was told that no way a snake was going to be out with thousands of people. Even it there was, at least there would be people there to assist, unlike when my wife and I went hiking in the mornings.
LordsaLeaping, thanks very much for the info and suggestions. Great point on the port-a-potties. If you camp, is it first come first serve or are you actually appointed a certain spot where you put your tent? Kinda like lawn seats at a venue where the first person to get there picks out there spot and puts there blanket down. If you get there early enough, do you just pick your spot and pop the tent up or is it more structured than that? Thanks.
YourDirtisMyfood, you're welcome that's what the Gorge is about. Helping out because hopefully everyone's time is a great time. At the Gorge they will direct you where to put your tent only because they know the lay of the land, but if you see a spot you want just say so. Wildhorse Campground is first come, first serve. Wildhorse does not have views overlooking the Gorge because it is up the road, but because it is a private campground they clean the Honeybuckets and showers every day, not to mention there is always food to order if you want it. They also have 3 buses to take you to and from the campground. The Gorge campground has a path to and from the venue. If you're in your thirties, and you mentioned you're married, I would recommend Terrace Camping, Premier Camping, or Wildhorse Campground just so you're not in Mad Max in Thunderdome (Regular Camping or whatever they call it now). Wildhorse sells their camping on their private website, whereas the Gorge uses Live Nation. If you ever have any questions or whatever, feel free to hit me up anytime.
I meant to mention the heat. 2013 was hot, not uncomfortably so, but 2015 was windy and cold. We had to go to Walmart to buy hoodies and sweat pants because we were completely unprepared for the cold. Like someone said, it is the desert and it's usually hot during the day and comfortable at night. I like the heat, so it's fine for me, but dislike the cold. All in all, be prepared for both or save the packing space and hit up Walmart for layers later.

Has South America ever been in the rumor mix for next year?
I think it'll look similar to 2000 and 2003 with recent history of European summer festivals and no shows in October.
Next year has 2013 written all over it. No way they are going back to Europe unless they do not have the album out next year. All signs are pointing to that happening though.
