I had a conversation w/Robert last night about this song, to me, I feel it is about letting go of your past, and see what you have right in front of you, no matter where you two are, the person is thinking about them all the time.

I don't know if that made any sense, but that was my intrepretation on my favorite part.:)

i see the part of "moving in both directions" to mean that instead of growing apart, two people on the same path, their love progressing at the same rate and in the same direction and how it notes the challenge of a good love (as opposed to what one might have had in the past).

that's just my take of course!

this song just truly speaks to me, simply because i hadn't met my love physically but somehow we managed to get the love across to each other, and still do....in thin air

That is so true Barbara. a beautiful intrepretation my friend;) You see, that is the way I am thinking at this very moment, loving someone so much and wishing you were there w/them, but you know that they are thinking of the same thing, that love transcends ANYTHING!

Sweetie, I know what you mean, and I hope you get to meet your love soon enough. Seeing the person right in front of you, makes all the waiting so much worth it.

Robert is one of the sweetest guys I EVER had the pleasure of being with. This is my first real relationship, and it is strange that my first serious relationship is a long distance one:( but, we are willing to work through it. I have deeply fallen in love w/this man.

just in the little time i got to chat with robert and with you i could tell what sweethearts you both are, and that two such people are in love. man, it gives me faith in this world for sure. and ya know, any kind of relationship takes a lot of work, whether the person is down the street or across state lines (or oceans even). granted it is harder, but when you have that time together, god, it is SO worth it. and even the time apart, like right now i totally feel him. my man is an angel to me because he's illuminated my whole world. my heart is not my own anymore and i've relinquished it to him with a smile

That is really sweet of you to say that about us, it is very touching. The interesting is that Robert and I just met face-to-face the night b/f. It is really a beautiful feeling.

That is the MOST beautiful thing I ever read sweetie. Awwww, and it is so true. I love it when people share that happiness together. I totally know the feeling as we speak.

That is why this and Throw Your Arms Around Me is SO special to me, and makes me think of our relationship every single day. And it is SO true what you said, the time you spend w/each other, you make the BEST of it, no matter if it is just a few hours or a few days, or even years. I didn't expect to fall in love so quickly like this, I didn't even expect it. Period! Through Lydia, he got in contact w/me, and that was just a little over a month ago.

It is simply beautiful!

that is the most amazing thing of all, ya never expect it!! i certainly had no idea when i met him over a year ago that we'd be in this place now. neither of us were looking for love at all, or knew that we would end up affecting and changing each other like we have. it was like a 2x4 upside the head, like WHOA where the fuck did that come from?? haha

we've been together since june of last year, and it is like we've known each other forever but just met all at the same time, hard to explain. i'm not worrying much about the future, just living in the present and it feels good

i SO hear ya about "throw your arms around me" - when ed came out and played that at the shoreline in june i just started to cry, not just because of the words, and the way ed expressed them, but with the sun shining and the breeze flowing thru, i could feel my love's warmth surround me and his whispers just grazing my cheek. he was there. the combination overwhelmed me.

ok i really need to stop because i'm going to start making myself cry and people here will look at me crazy (or crazier i should say haha)
