Franken should register as a Republican, apparently sexual misconduct gets a free pass if there is an 'R' next to your name.
I think it has more to do with the photo and admitting it. The alleged yearbook signature didn't have much weight.

but but you forgot numero 1 sexual predator that is president or are you of the thought he didn't do any of it ?
trump is a 70 year old male, chances are he sexually harassed someone in his lifetime.

I'm changing my gropey Al estimate to a few days.

what's with men force kissing women? so bizarre.
so all males harass a woman/women eventually is what you're saying here?
no...re-read it...I'm saying it's a good chance most 70 year old males with similar lifestyle as trump sexually harassed someone in their life.
    Opportunities and money to buy.
Most people that live a normal life see it or experience it.

I'd venture to guess 9 of 10 all women in US at one point experienced sexual harassment.

It's a big problem and I'm glad it's being addressed.
your original statement was this: trump is a 70 year old male, chances are he sexually harassed someone in his lifetime.

you mentioned nothing about "males with a similar lifestyle".

even with that, I don't buy it. being rich/famous/etc doesn't automatically make you an asshole.
Agreed. I thought that comment was quite strange.

I think Franken should resign but I do think it is interesting to compare his accusers with tRump's.

trump admits to sexual assault and has multiple people accusing him of a range of sex crimes, and you think “chances are” he sexually harassed someone? Okay.

How so?  It matches his current signature.

And there was a 2nd accuser from the same time period with a whole scrap book of goodies, including a xmas card with another matching signature.

    And their stories were corroborated.

Meanwhile, Moore has changed his story numerous times.

so I was on twitter last night. I follow Alyssa Milano. She tweeted once again about Me Too and Al Franken and Roy Moore. Someone responded to her tweet, "I love you Alyssa, but in the name of fairness, I remember when you flashed your breasts to a crew member of Charmed for his birthday. Did you get permission to do so? Or did you just decide to do it? Think about it. Where's your apology? Yes: YOU, TOO!".

    the responses were predictable.

"a film crew is like a family, it was a friendly, cheeky gesture"
"did anyone complain? seriously? I'd love that as a birthday present!"
    "was anyone offended?"
"I don't think a brief incident like that in any way diminishes the powerful stance she consistently takes for good causes"
"women don't rape with their breasts"

so it's ok because men are pigs and enjoy nudity from women who are attractive (what about all the other crew members who were forced to witness this?). it only applies to creepy old unattractive men.

    Thoughts?

I just saw them commend the Democrats and Al Franken on FOX (Republican) news, for stepping up and having Franken resign.  While I'm sad to see him go, I think this is another case of the Democrats doing the right thing and setting a good example.  Franken's case seems less more severe than Roy Moore or Trump's in violating women with words and actions, but I am glad to see Franken setting an example.  Good for him!  Way to make progress in this crazy world.  Now, if the Republicans could just follow suit and not sweep everything under the rug like they do, maybe Trump would realize that it is time to bow out.   I still think he deserves a Christmas in the White House though.   The man did use much of his own money for that campaign, while some of his Republican counterparts stood by and said, "Well, yeah he's obnoxious and stubborn, but he's using his own money, time and energy to get our Republicans elected.  We'll figure out how to get rid of him later.  For now get the vote."   I've watched so many conservatives like that in my life use people and talk so much shit about them behind their backs, so that part of me feels for Trump.  But he has said a lot of crazy shit this year.   I hope he does the right thing and resigns after the new year.  It seems it would be the less messy way to go, in my opinion.

"I am leaving while a man bragged on tape about his history of the sexual assault sits in the Oval Office and a man who repeatedly preyed on young girls campaigns for the Senate with the full support of his party. But this decision is not about me. It’s about the people of Minnesota," Franken said.

people I've seen talking about Franken are right: "when they go low, and we go high, we still lose, so why do we continue to go high?".

it sucks to have to lower yourself, but if that's the only way to play the game on a level field, what else are you supposed to do?

I have so much respect for Franken.   He's being accused of some stuff that probably many people in Hollywood and politics could easily be found guilty of as well if they were running for office.  A man that probably has this as the only dirt they could ever dig up in his life, yet he still resigns for having a moral compass and setting a good example to the country.   I hope his next job is one he loves.   I would imagine SNL is praising him right now but sad that we're losing a Democrat.

answer: have 5 to 10 accusers waiting in the wings to trot out tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the democrats will forever have a Arkansas Bill problem. They can force Conyers and Franken to resign but they will never be able to claim purity during this.
Hilliary being appointed the nomination certainly didn't help the cause.

Trump this Trump that, it's been 14 months since the real P tape and people are still clinging to hope that it might dump Trump.
signs of desperation are the news reports from "sources" claiming trump now denies its him on the tape after he already admitted it last year and chalked it up as locker room talk.

    Unseal the secret deals.

Not for nothing, but these allegations seem scurrilous at best. If I read correctly, 2 of the ladies accused Franken of putting his hand on their waist and squeezing during a photo op at the State Fair, which was likely in front of a huge group of people. Reeks of a hit job and now Rs smell blood in the water.

So on the day he actually resigns, analog 10 Club members should receive their 2016 annual singles and Deep.

"We're makin' a list and checkin it twice. All 2016 Analog Members will be receiving the package in the coming weeks. We apologize for the delay. Good things to come!"
