Boston prices are always absurd. Already high now.
And they won't come down anytime soon. Tuesday may be cheaper than Sunday but it won't be cheap by any stretch of the imagination.
Check out airbnb and VRBO now!!!!  I already booked.  If you're lucky you can find something about half the price of hotels.  I'm 1.2 miles from fenway with a reserved parking spot.
If you are planning on Boston listen to the man!

I booked an Airbnb as well. 20 min walk from Fenway. It is a whole house. 1400 sq ft. Cost me 350$ a night but for that price I would get 2 double beds and 190 sq ft at a hotel. Bringing along my 3 kids and my wife and her mother. Going to be a great vacation!

$346 total for my airbnb 1.5 miles from stadium. Hotels aren’t the only option anymore folks.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Mine was in CAD to btw and I needed a 2 plus bedroom because of the family coming. Their are some great deals on 1 bedrooms near the T. Do not be scared of using Airbnb. I have had great success in the past.

Airbnb is great. We rented a house boat in Amsterdam 2014 and it worked out really well.
  • Anyone have an opinion on the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor? 15,000 points a night isn't bad considering how much the actual price is.

FYI - Chase Sapphire has 50K point sign up bonus (for those who haven't gotten it in last 24 months) so you can get 3 free nights at either Hyatt when transferring the points. Plenty of time to get the card, meet the spending requirements and book there.

Plan on doing Chicago night 2 and both Fenway's myself. I asked the Miss's what she thought of going to Seattle night 2 and she just rolled her eyes. "I might be" she said LOL.

  • Happy for everyone that plans on doing Seattle. It's such a great city and doing the hometown show in 2013 was one of the highlights of my 23 year live history with this band. That being said, I am eternally grateful I live in Boston for this round of shows.

Any thoughts on additional Seattle adds?  I doubt they add a 3rd Safeco show but with loads of PJ fans in town from Wednesday on, I could see a Friday or potentially a Saturday show added.  Maybe even a different venue like the Key?
Part of me hopes so but I doubt it, I heard a rumour of a Pike Place Market "kickoff" show, it was just speculation and in no way that I'm aware was there any sources to give it validity but would be cool if they did kind of a rooftop Pike Place set of a 3-5 songs

Is it most likely that the field will be reserved seats again at Fenway? Is that the policy for concerts at Fenway?

I booked the hotel right next to that one I believe.  Looks like it is walking distance to venue.  Lets hope its actually happening!

SO bummed. Am planning to be in Oregon a few days prior to the first Seattle show, so could have easily driven uup. But I work at a school and our first day back is August 8, no way we can miss that without docked pay and some trouble. Serious, just 2 days earlier would have been perfect!

Anyone think more cities (and/or arenas) will be added to this "tour"?

If you booked the Motel 6 across from campus and near the stadium bring your earplugs. Train tracks behind it with hourly trains ALL night long.

Stayed there for the 2012 show and glad I brought my earplugs.

Not sure what calendar P-Town-P-Jam-Fan is using but the the 2 Seattle shows are Wednesday 8/8 and Friday 8/10.
