Just picked up a goldtop PRS SE DGT with the end of the year sale.  Just a shade over 7 lbs.  The neck is a little more meaty than Fender, but the 1.65” nut width allows me to wrap my thumb around the low E string with ease and feels pretty good off the bat.  The neck feels much better than the "wide fat" profile for my hands (large size with shorter fingers) which bothered me enough that I've passed on this range in the past.  The finish is amazing.  Reminds me of the “old gold” color of the Purdue Boilermakers (hail, hail!)

Fretwork is good.  It has odd pot layout that shouldn’t take too long to get used to.  Tonight it gets some new strings and will be put to work.

That is a nice looking guitar.  Not flashy.  Now I want to start playing again...

Lots of nice guitars! I've been lagging on playing. Picked up my guitar and felt the rustiness. Some damn day I will actually record a proper demo of my songs. The thing that has been holding me up is getting the drums arranged correctly in EZdrummer.

Why resist?  Just tell the wife you could have chosen to resist the urge to gamble, drink too much, cheat, try cocaine, but you have too much damn respect for her so you broke down and got the guitar.  She'll be relieved.  She'll thank you.

This bass arrived last week. It had a couple electronics issues and I changed the strings, pickguard and bridge while I had it apart to correct those things. I have another one of these ESP Vintage 4 basses and I think they're terrific.

Thanks man! Still getting the setup on the bass dialed in. Listening to good music while I work definitely makes the process more enjoyable.

Just got this one finished. It is the first instrument I have made myself. Learned a lot during the process and I am really pleased with how it turned out.
