The square is my all time favorite grandma Sicilian. This particular pizzeria has a sister store in Staten Island.

A nice half sausage/half cheese tavern cut over the weekend.  This is what we eat 99% of the time in Chicago.  Deep dish is a treat 2-3 times a year.

    That looks amazing.  Two questions:
    1. Is the wavy crust (almost looks twisted) a chicago thing?
    2. Do you always cut pizza like that in chicago?  we do 8 slices here in nj.

Wavy crust is just how this particular place does it.  And yeah, that's pretty much the standard way that most places in Chicago area cut the pizzas.  That's how I've eaten pizza my whole life.  Although I don't mind an occasional big slice.

Looks good, you can always put away one or two more pieces vs trying to tackle that last slice.

I enjoy a thin square cut cracker crust and a thicker greek style pie (also square cut). You might need a knife and fork which is indeed blasphemous in New York.

Agreed. Yet I have arugula aka rocket growing and that is super nice on a slice.

Deep dish I used a fork and knife.  Sicilian, no.

While I have enjoyed deep dish in Chicago, the wait is a buzzkill. A good greek pie might have you reach for the utensils, at least to pull a square slice out. Most of our recent pizza orders include a Grandma and a Margherita. We do have a great place nearby that does broccoli rabe and sausage and a sopressata with mike's hot honey but it is expensive!
