At this level, I don't see it as voting against anything but more like moving toward something great.  This will be fun!

Easily the weakest song in this list for me.

I Am Mine for the win!

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

Cripes, I didn't even know the LB round had ended!
Fair enough (and I agree with not including Lost Dogs) but I need a moment to think about this.

RVM or Release for the win with Pendulum a close third.

It's a great champions list, it would have been interesting to see, if all the runners up had been included, would a champion win the winners poll, or could a 2nd place finisher take it.

Time to make a playlist. The set opens with Release and closes with Pendulum, that is pretty cool imo. If they play a set this short again I wouldn't mind it being this
    Pittsburgh 2013
    Cincinnati 2014
    Greenville 2016
    (Raleigh 2016)
    Columbia 2016

As expected, it looks like two songs from the last three albums will be gone first.

Both Release and Present Tense are great, great songs but, imho, much better live than their studio versions. That leaves me with Given To Fly, RVM, and Corduroy as possible winners.

In the end, of the songs remaining, I think Corduroy (or maybe RVM) best embodies the PJ sound/attitude and deserves the win.

(Too bad Alive still isn't around.)

I agree about Corduroy, it is the "most PJ" PJ song.
Alive would be, but it doesn't have the seeds of the band to come in the same way Corduroy does.

    Absolutely.

Nothing against Release, but Black should have won.

100%. Would make a worthy overall winner too. There's a lesson here... radio is garbage. Alive, Black, Evenflow and Small Town I think were all hurt in the vote by "over-exposure". For a 10C voting population, especially 26 years into this band's history, I'm sure that live exposure has also influenced people's love for songs and therefore, their voting. Personally, I left this out of it. But there's some predictive value in our voting tendencies to date. Corduroy might be a front runner, but I think when push comes to shove, it will get the same treatment.

Said it before and I'll say it again. RVM takes this one. Perfect blend of a trademark, flagship PJ song and being lesser-known. Both studio and live versions are amazing. Curious, 10clubbers - how many times have you heard RVM on the radio in the last 10 years?

I happen to know I've only heard it twice. Both within two months of the Oct 2014 Milwaukee show on our local, more underground, 88.9.

^^ I don't listen to the general radio.  PJ Radio or sports stuff, but not random song playing radio.

Tough to predict what will win based on how the voting has gone.
Any from the 'First Five' are worthy, imo.

Only one of the champions is in my PJ Top 10... And it looks like it's a strong candidate to be eliminated right out of the gate.

EDIT:  Just realized there are 2 in my Top 10!  I don't imagine either one will come close to winning but at least one of them is safe for now.

Something doesn't feel right about voting for any of these as "weakest." All are STRONG!

I hope Inside Job and Unthought Known go in round one and it's Present Tense squeaking out a win in the finals over Given to Fly.

To my mind, I've got to agree that if there is a quintessential PJ song, it's Corduroy. RVM is my favourite and I'd love to see it win, but even so I see Corduroy as more emblematic somehow.
