So what happened with the Merch in Sicily? Why did police shut it down?
They said the PJ merch situation is out of control
time to go all pre-orders (or post-orders) with ticket purchase. limit of 1 item per ticket. no exceptions.
I was trying to make joke ;) but I agree with you

Great artist nothing against that but what the hell is going on here, that is probably the worst tour poster PJ or Eddie to date.. period.

It's a tie between that Ames Bros / Taormina #1 and the Ian Williams / Amsterdam #2 posters for the worst of the tour for me.
Really don't like the Munk One Antwerp poster either!!

Besides the London print I find all of them pretty awful.  Actually the one Amsterdam print is ok.

Story behind Rhys Cooper's Taormina poster.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/StudioSeppuku/

This print was designed very specifically because of the town and culture and I wanted to do something that referenced the history of not only the amazing venue but also it's art with some nice parallel with Eddie himself.

To elaborate a little, the gig is in a little town in Sicily, Italy called Taormina which has a famous drinking fountain of a water horse or Hippocampus.

Hippocampus are popular in a lot of Italian art and fountains, the most famous being the Trevi Fountain which is full of them. I liked the horse theme for a few reasons as it is an Italian symbol (Italian Stallion, Ferrari) and the Hippocampus is a symbol of art, history and culture.

Taormina is also a small sea side fishing town with the venue being an ancient amphitheater so I found the sea/horse also represented a nice mix of the sea and land.

Eddie himself is also a keen surfer so this connection to the ocean was something that worked well.

    For me:
    1. Mumford
    2. Klausen
    3. Taylor
    4. Welker
    5.  Pittides

@shecky it looks like I agree with you more than I thought previously.

i think overall, it's been a good run. Only really disliked the Ames and Munk.

Welker AP made its way to my house today via flipper from eBay - I am really surprised how much I like the colors - and I do not have a Welker on the wall :)

Cool. But I'm totally surprised you already received it. I just received shipping confirmation the other day from Bottleneck. For the print to ship from Bottleneck Gallery to the eBay flipper, then he/she shipping it to you & just today receiving it today? WOW!!!

london posters will hit the mail monday, packing this weekend... was holding off a little on shipping to try and maybe flush out the people who sold their poster on ebay the day of the sale and said it was already shipped when they never had it to sell it....
So the day I made this post, later that night my 2006 MacPro froze up on me and had to go in for repairs... been milking that 11 year old "vintage / legacy" Mac for a while now and thought this might have been the day that forced my hand and made me need to get a new machine... luckily it just needed a new video card (the OG '06 video card well exceeded its 5 year expected life span!)... but my computer was in the shop for the past 6 days... so I wasn't able to pack orders last weekend, I can pack them this weekend though... sorry for the delay on these.
